Oceania announces new cabins for solo travelers

Oceania Cruises, Solo Cabin Example

Four out of seven of Oceania Cruise Line's ships will now feature 14 staterooms designed specifically with the solo traveler in mind.

The first of these staterooms will debut onboard the ship Regatta on September 25th 2022, followed by rooms onboard the Nautica on September 26th 2022, and onboard Sirena and Insignia on October 1st of this year.

With the addition of these 56 staterooms, Oceania is reinforcing its desire to offer more accommodations and options to the solo cruise traveler. Each of the new solo occupant cabins will all be located on Deck 6 of each ship.

“Our guests and travel partners wanted more options for solo travelers and more diverse tour offerings, and we are delighted to deliver” said Howard Sherman, the CEO of Oceania Cruises. Along with the announcement of its new solo cabins, Oceania Cruises also stated its intention to offer additional shore excursions in the new series titled Go Green and Beyond Blueprints.

The push for additional cabins for solo cruise travelers is reinforced by the great success that Oceania experienced after solo cabins were announced on the line’s newest ship Vista, which will make its debut next year in April 2023. “These new single-occupancy staterooms are ideal for guests seeking the joy of traveling solo while experiencing all the comfort, cuisine, and destination expertise that Oceania Cruises is renowned for,” Sherman stated.

The pricing and additional details regarding these new cabins will be released on April 11th 2022. From Oceania Cruises, “Bathed in soothing tones with multiple layers of luxurious furnishings, accents and artwork, these charming staterooms are the perfect retreat for the solo traveler. Centrally located on Deck 6, each is an inviting home away from home, providing guests with a blissful and welcoming space to relax and rejuvenate as they explore the world’s most fascinating destinations.” Each cabin will also feature a refrigerated mini bar, cozy seating area and abundant storage space.

More solo traveler cabins means a greater range of options for the avid cruise traveler. While many cruises are priced based on both the cabin type and the occupancy, the addition of more solo cabins in the cruise line industry means the solo traveler has more choices when it comes to booking their trip.

With the popularity of solo cabins increasing, solo travelers can now look forward to even more affordable solo vacations, instead of paying an increased price for a single occupant in a standard cabin.
