Celebrity Ascent, Celebrity Cruises' newest Edge Class vessel, launched in November 2023, and even though I have a sailing booked for July, I couldn't wait that long to experience everything this brand-new ship has to offer. 

From the cost of my stateroom to airfare, onboard purchases, rideshares, and more, this trip ended up costing about $4,600. It was well worth it, though, as I can confidently say that Celebrity Ascent is one of my favorite cruise ships. Now, I am eagerly counting down the days until I get to step back onboard.

There is nothing quite like sailing on a brand-new cruise ship, as you’re able to experience the latest and greatest of what a cruise line has to offer. Similar to driving a brand-new car, everything on a new cruise ship is both fresh and modern.

2023 was a busy year for brand-new cruise ships from some of the biggest names in the cruising world, and I was lucky enough to set sail on two of the most exciting new cruise ships at sea!

I just returned from a quick two-night sailing onboard the beautiful Celebrity Ascent, which is the newest cruise ship in Celebrity Cruises' fleet. Celebrity Ascent is the fourth ship in the revolutionary, award-winning Edge Class for the cruise line.

I just spent 48 hours onboard the brand-new Celebrity Ascent, and I already can’t wait to plan another trip onboard this revolutionary and innovative cruise ship! Although 48 hours was not nearly enough time onboard, I was able to experience so much of what sets Celebrity Ascent apart from others.
