For most, cruise ship mattresses are simply a place to rest each evening after a fun day onboard or ashore. Others, however, see it as a multi-purpose piece of furniture, as revealed by a recent social media post. 

The picture, which was originally shared to a Facebook group called Royal Caribbean Cruises, depicts two Royal Caribbean passengers lounging on a mattress that they brought out to their balcony. Notably absent is the standard balcony furniture, which consists of two chairs and a small table.  

There's a cruise perfect for those who prefer to sport their birthday suit. Dubbed the "Big Nude Boat," this 11-night sailing encourages guests to bring, quite literally, just the bare necessities onboard with them. 

Departing from Miami, Florida on February 3, 2025, the cruise will visit Norwegian Cruise Line's private island, Great Stirrup Cay, as well as San Juan, Puerto Rico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Roseau, Dominica; Fort-de-France, Martinique; and Castries, St. Lucia.

Celebrity's newest ship, Celebrity Ascent, is gearing up for her first-ever European season. Sailing to countries like Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Turkey, guests can enjoy rich European history while cruising on one of the most stunning ships at sea. 

She'll arrive in Barcelona on April 27 and embark on a 9-night sailing to the Italian Riveria and France, including an overnight stay in La Spezia, giving guests ample opportunities to explore "the gateway to the Cinque Terre."
