Cruise Writer Allie has been cruising for 20 years, and is no stranger to this form of travel. Fortunately, most of her cruises have gone off without a hitch, and exactly as planned. However, with so many cruises under her belt, she has seen her fair share of mishaps while at sea. While most of these were out of her control, she was still able to learn how to make the most of it.

5. Carnival orders three new massive LNG cruise ships
Carnival Cruise Line is planning to expand its fleet of FUN ships with three more mega cruise vessels on the way.
In an exciting announcement released today, July 23, 2024, Carnival Cruise Line unveiled finalized plans to build three new cruise ships in a brand-new ship class. The new cruise ships are scheduled to be released in 2029, 2031, and 2033. The ship names were not announced at this time.

Modern cruise ships are virtually floating cities with resort-style amenities that transport you to your destination.
With so much to offer on these ships, they attract a wide array of travelers. When it comes to cruising, it isn’t always smooth sailing.

8. Scammer cancels woman's Carnival cruise and steals money. Experts say cruise-goers are being targeted
In a recent wave of scams, cruise-goers are being targeted via the information they are sharing on social media.
Scammers are constantly evolving their tactics in order to become more believable. These criminals are not only stealing money from vacationers by posing as the cruise line, but also canceling their cruises. One woman, Brittany Paine, shared with NBC 4 in Los Angeles how she was the victim of a recent scam with her upcoming Carnival cruise reservation.

Carnival Cruise Line has upped its game over the last three years.
With three revolutionary mega cruise ships now in their fleet, they have reset their standard for “Fun Ships”. Cruise Blog writer Allie has recently been able to sail on both Carnival Mardi Gras and Carnival Jubilee, two of these new ships in their Excel class. For both sailings, she booked and stayed in a balcony cabin. While these sister ships are similar, the cabins still have their unique differences.
