It's been over 20 years since Carnival held the title of having the largest cruise ship in the world. Although they're still far from reclaiming that title, they are working on their largest cruise ships ever. Dubbed "Project Ace," this upcoming class will redefine what Carnival offers at sea.

While the cruise line hasn't released many specifics, Project Ace will surpass the current Excel Class ships in size and capacity. Not only that, but the ships will feature new dining venues, entertainment options, and re-imagined outdoor decks. 

Carnival's newest private destination in the Bahamas offers something for everyone, from fun water slides to adult-only beaches, lively pools, and more. Although Celebration Key has countless activities for cruisers to enjoy, not all of them are included in the cost of your Carnival cruise. 

The FBI has confirmed it is investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred on a Carnival sailing out of Galveston just days after the agency reported they were investigating a death on the Carnival Dream. 

According to the FBI, the incident happened aboard the Carnival Breeze, a Dream Class ship that launched in 2009. However, it's unclear when the reported assault took place. 

Relaxaway, Half Moon Cay might just be my favorite cruise line private island. Shared by Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America, the Bahamian islet feels like a deserted island — that is, if you were stranded there with thousands of your party-minded friends. 

The island has colorful wooden cabins, lots of greenery, and a long curve of white sand beach. My favorite thing to do on Relaxaway is walk past all the bars, loud music, and rows of lounge chairs to an area where hammocks hang from palm trees, and I can pull a lounge chair into the shade and read a book or nap. 

Carnival Cruise Line revealed how one of their guests died aboard the Carnival Dream last week. 

On Monday, the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office shared that Euvelester Villarreal Jr., 48, of Rio Grande City, Texas, passed away while the cruise ship was at sea, adding that they have found no signs of obvious trauma. However, they're still waiting on the toxicology results, according to KHOU 11.

Multiple federal agencies are investigating a passenger's death on the Carnival Dream, a Carnival cruise ship based out of Galveston, Texas. 

The guest reportedly passed away on the Carnival Dream around July 23, 2025. The 130,000 gross-ton vessel was on a 6-night Western Caribbean cruise from Galveston to Costa Maya, Mexico; Belize City, Belize; and Cozumel, Mexico.

Four cruise passengers on a Carnival cruise ship were arrested after allegedly smuggling illegal drugs onboard with the intent to sell them ashore in Bermuda. 

According to local police, the cruisers were detained by Carnival Cruise Line's security team and turned over to the authorities upon the ship's arrival in Bermuda. 

The seized items included one package of Carfentanyl, vape pens, and suspected THC gummies.
