My mom has always said, “If you can’t have fun on a cruise, there’s something wrong with you!” Even when a vacation isn’t perfect, I can usually find the positives amidst the few hiccups. But after 47 cruises, I found myself counting down the days until disembarkation. 

A cruise ship bathroom is unlikely to be the highlight of your vacation. However, a disappointing stateroom experience can certainly be the lowlight of your cruise.

Regardless of which stateroom category you book, whether a cheap inside cabin or a luxurious suite, you’ll have a full private bathroom in your cabin. Of course, the more expensive cabins and suites will have the nicest and most spacious bathrooms. Some suites even have more than one bathroom!

Carnival joined Holland America and Princess Cruises as the next cruise line to introduce a special solar eclipse cruise for 2026. 

The next total solar eclipse is scheduled to occur on August 12, 2026, and the three mainstream cruise lines have teamed up to offer a great line-up for itineraries for passengers who want to witness this celestial spectacle at sea. 

Carnival passengers visiting Grand Turk on Wednesday had to leave earlier than expected due to unfavorable weather caused by Hurricane Ernesto. 

John Heald, Carnival's Brand Ambassador, shared a message on Facebook for Carnival Magic guests on the island. "This is an update for Carnival Magic guests only. If you are ashore in Grand Turk, please return to the ship by 2:30 PM," the post reads.

"Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate this evening, and the ship will have to sail earlier than planned."

Carnival Cruise Line is known for its fast-casual dining options, ranging from juicy burgers at Guy's Burger Joint to complimentary Mexican fare at BlueIguana Cantina, a vibrant restaurant that's a favorite among cruisers for its laid-back atmosphere on the lido deck. 

Before every cruise, I try to set realistic expectations of what to expect during my sailing. Having realistic expectations ensures that I usually do not leave my vacation feeling disappointed. Each cruise will be undoubtedly different depending on the itinerary, ship, and cruise line. No two cruises are ever the same!

The oh-so-popular Guy’s Burger Joint has become a staple for many Carnival cruisers. In fact, many cruisers would agree that Carnival Cruise Line has some of the best burgers at sea. Considering many cruisers are foodies, this is a high accolade.

Found on every Carnival ship, the poolside eatery is known for serving up juicy, freshly-made burgers and fries. The crafted burgers have bold flavor with indulgent toppings, including bacon patties, melty cheese, onion rings, and more.

Recently, one Carnival Cruise Line passenger expressed their frustration after receiving hurtful messages about their formal night footwear. 

Though less formal than decades ago, cruise ships still have dress codes passengers are expected to abide by. Though you can't wear swimsuits into the buffet or Main Dining Room, casual attire—like t-shirts, jeans, and sundresses—is acceptable.
