Carnival Cruise Line now giving passengers up to 3 days before their cruise to get Covid-19 test

As stated on their website, on May 4th 2022, Carnival Cruise Line updated their testing requirements of COVID-19 for passengers aboard their ships.

The Carnival Cruise Line website now states, “except when destination requirements differ, guests who are up to date with their vaccines may take their test within three days prior to sailing. Up to date means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccinations, including any booster dose, when eligible.”

Starting today, May 2nd 2022, Carnival Cruise Line’s final ship to return to service, is resuming operations from Seattle, Washington. With the return of Carnival Splendor to service, it marks an important day for Carnival Cruise Line.

Over a period of the last ten months, Carnival Cruise Line has been operating a gradual and phased restart of its fleet, bringing them back into service one at a time, following the pandemic. The cruise line has continued to monitor safety guidelines and policies for its ships and passengers.

Carnival celebrates its 50th birthday with new venue onboard Carnival Celebration

Founded in 1972, Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, and will be introducing a new celebration space onboard Carnival Celebration, its newest ship.

Carnival Celebration is set to debut this November 2022. The new venue onboard Carnival Celebration will be called ‘The Golden Jubilee’. This new space onboard will consist of a bar and lounge, and its design will highlight Carnival Cruise Line’s evolution throughout the last 50 years.

The announcement was made this week at the Seatrade Cruise Global Conference in Miami.

Carnival Cruise Line CEO steps down

Carnival Corporation announced today, April 26, that effective August 1st 2022, the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Arnold Donald, will be stepping down from their position. Donald has been appointed Vice Chair, and will be transferring to that position in August, as well as becoming a member of the Board of Directors.

As of August 1st, Arnold Donald will be the Vice Chair for the company, as well as serving on the Boards of Directors for Carnival Corporation.

Carnival Cruise Line raises daily gratuities for passengers

Effective May 1st 2022 Carnival Cruise Line will be increasing their daily gratuities from the current rate.

In a statement to currently booked passengers, Carnival Cruise Line said the following, “Our shipboard team members work hard to provide exceptional and friendly service, so we hope you will agree that this slight increase is well deserved.”

A look at Carnival Celebration – the fun continues

Carnival, the world’s largest cruise line, is celebrating 50 years of fun-filled cruising and is capping the year off with the launch of its newest ship.

The aptly named Carnival Celebration is the second in the excel class of ships and will be based in Miami, sailing on eastern and western itineraries.
