Carnival Cruise Line resumes visits to Grand Bahama

Carnival Cruise Line announced it has resumed regular visits to Grand Bahamas with a visit today when Carnival Pride docked in Freeport. Carnival Elation will follow on Sunday, Oct. 13 and Carnival Freedom on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Carnival passenger injured after falling onto cruise ship deck

A passenger on the Carnival Valor was injured after he fell off a railing to a lower deck.

"Carnival Cruise Line can confirm that a 23-year-old male guest sailing on Carnival Valor was injured on board and, after being evaluated by the ship’s medical team, it was determined that he required further evaluation and treatment," Vance Gulliksen, a spokesperson for Carnival said in a statement. "He was airlifted off the ship via helicopter and transferred to a shoreside medical facility."

Following the successful rollout of Carnival Cruise Line HUB App’s ‘Pizza Anywhere’ feature, the company has expanded this functionality to include beverage delivery. After choosing a hand-tossed pizza with their preferred toppings, guests will be asked whether they would like a beer, soda or water to accompany their meal. To place an order, guests simply tap on the ship’s map to mark their location, take a selfie to identify themselves and select their desired order.

The Carnival Paradise rescued a man near Cozumel who was in a small, sinking boat last week.

The cruise ship was on a four-day cruise when it reversed course to save the man from Mexico.

Carnival Cruises sued for offering cruises to Cuba

Carnival Corporation is being sued for doing business at properties the Cuban government seized in Cuba.

The lawsuit says Carnival is accused of touring to property confiscated by the Cuban government after the Fidel Castro-led revolution in 1959.

Jacksonville resident Javier Garcia-Bengochea and Kentucky-based Havana Docks Corp. both owned property in Cuba before it was seized. They're seeking damages from Carnival.
