Celebrity Cruises is among one of the most popular cruise lines in the world. Though not the largest, they have a modest fleet of 14 ships offering impressive itineraries around the world. By late 2025, they're expected to welcome another Edge Class ship to their fleet, increasing the number of operational vessels from 14 to 15. 

The 2026-2027 season for Celebrity Cruises is poised to be unforgettable, featuring over 600 cruises to more than 280 destinations across 70 countries on all seven continents.

The cruise line just announced a brand-new world cruise that will take passengers on a 110-night voyage across the globe, sailing to 55 destinations across 15 countries. In addition, the upscale cruise line has unveiled expanded routes to Asia, Europe, and South America.

The deployment schedule covers Alaska, Australia, Bermuda, Canada/New England, the Canals, Hawaii, Iceland, Japan, Europe, South America, Caribbean, and Asia, giving potential sailors plenty of itinerary choices. 

Last month, I embarked on my second-ever European cruise. The 7-night voyage departed from Athens (Piraeus), Greece, and sailed to Santorini, Mykonos, Kuşadası, and Naples. 

Though I've cruised throughout Europe, this was my first time sailing to the Greek Isles, and I fell in love with the islands' whitewashed walls, blue domes, and narrow streets. The food was delicious, too! 

I’ve just returned from my first Celebrity cruise, and there were a few aspects of my cruise vacation that I preferred over Royal Caribbean.

From the time I started cruising, I’ve booked the majority of my cruises on Royal Caribbean. Despite having twenty excellent cruises with the line, I occasionally like to switch up my vacations. Thus, I recently booked a 7-night Norwegian fjords itinerary on Celebrity Silhouette.

Measuring 140,600 gross registered tons, Celebrity Ascent isn't a small expedition ship. The vessel can hold 3,260 passengers at double occupancy and has over 1,400 crew members onboard.

For many cruisers, savoring a glass of wine over dinner or a tropical cocktail by the pool is a must-do while onboard. As such, drink packages are among the most common add-ons. However, they aren't cheap.

Some packages cost upwards of $80 per person, per day, meaning if you can't consume at least 5-6 cocktails daily, the package may not be of value to you. Plus, most lines require all adults of legal drinking age staying in the same stateroom to purchase a package to prevent sharing. 

For many, a balcony cabin is a must-have on a cruise vacation.
