Jake Rosmarin, a travel content creator based in Boston, Massachusetts, has shared videos and posts documenting daily life during the voyage. 

Most recently, he posted another update, saying the remaining passengers on the ship are doing well and in good spirits.

Two passengers who sailed aboard the hantavirus-hit MV Hondius have returned home to the United States and are being actively monitored by health officials. 

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), the individuals are in good health and aren't showing any signs of infection. They're also adhering to the latest recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CBS News reported.

A 13-year-old girl aboard a cruise ship was allegedly sexually assaulted by another passenger, according to a Royal Bahamas Police Force press release. 

The incident occurred on March 28, 2026. The unidentified victim was supposedly reported missing by her mother around 2:17 a.m., while the vessel was around 15 nautical miles off the coast of West End, Grand Bahama Island. 

Crew member arrested and deported after caught shoplifting in Florida, authorities confirm

A cruise ship crew member was arrested and deported after being caught shoplifting in Port Canaveral, Florida, authorities confirmed. 

"CBP Port Canaveral was contacted by Brevard County Sheriff's Office, Florida (Official) Deputies regarding a detainer placed on crewmember [who] was caught shoplifting during shore leave," the official Miami and Tampa Field Office Facebook page said on March 24.
