After sailing on Carnival, Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Virgin Voyages, my friends and I finally booked a sailing on the Celebrity Summit for our annual getaway. After a recent summer stay in Boston, the Celebrity Summit is now calling Miami her home port. This was my first time on a Celebrity Cruise Line ship.

I recently sailed on MSC Divina for the first time on a super cheap four-night cruise to the Bahamas. Being an older ship, I was able to get a fantastic deal. I paid $185 per person, including Wi-Fi and a drink package. 

The cruise was such a great deal and as a last-minute add-on to another trip that I was on, I did not do much research about the ship itself, something I rarely do. 

A cruise vacation is meant to be a chance to kick back, relax, and escape from your mundane everyday routine. 

Like with school, work, and nearly every hobby and activity in life, there are unwritten rules that we must abide by while on vacation. 

After losing a game, it is unsportsmanlike to be rude to players on the other team. Similarly, if you run into an issue on your cruise, you wouldn't want to be rude to guest services or other passengers.

The longer your cruise is, the more time you will have to explore everything your ship has to offer. Plus, you will be able to visit more ports of call, allowing you to explore more of the world. 

7-night cruises are popular choices for families. 3- and 4-night sailings can often leave a lot to be desired, whereas it may be difficult to schedule longer cruises due to school and work schedules. 

Disney Cruise Line is one of the biggest names in the cruise industry. The same year that their first new-build ship, Disney Magic, launched, they opened Disney's Castaway Cay, their private island located in The Bahamas. 

Now that you have decided to go on a Royal Caribbean cruise, how do you pick out the perfect cabin or suite? 

Royal Caribbean has some of the largest cruise ships in the world, meaning that you have a variety of stateroom options. In fact, Icon of the Seas, their newest ship, will have a staggering 28 different cabin categories to choose from. 

You want to make sure that you pick the right one to be your "home away from home" while onboard your cruise. 

European cruises can bust your budget, so I couldn’t resist an incredible deal I found on a 10-night British Isles cruise onboard Norwegian Star. The cruise only cost $1,600 in total, which included international flights to and from London, England.

Most would agree this is a fantastic price for a port-intensive cruise in Europe; however, this was the last British Isles sailing of the year. Cruising in October is considered "shoulder season" for this region, as the ideal timeframe to cruise around the United Kingdom is June to September.

After three solo cruises onboard Royal Caribbean and MSC ships, I took my first solo cruise on Carnival Cruise Line and spent 7-nights onboard Carnival Celebration traveling to Amber Cove, San Juan, and St. Maarten. 

Not only was this my first solo cruise with Carnival, but it was also my first-ever Carnival cruise, so I truly had no idea what to expect. While I was worried that I would find the party-like environment overwhelming as a solo cruiser, I ended up loving every second of my trip!
