This morning August 9, 2022 Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. released their financial results for the second quarter of 2022, which ended on June 30, 2022.

The company held a conference call in which several key members of the company were present including Frank Del Rio, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Today, July 29th 2022, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) took delivery of its newest ship, the Norwegian Prima, from the renowned Fincantieri Shipyard in Marghera, Venice.

Norwegian Cruise Line has been a major cruise line within the industry for over 54 years, founded in 1966. Renowned for its freestyle cruising, Norwegian Cruise Line’s success is continuing to grow with the addition of the Prima Class, with the newest ship set to launch in April 2025.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced the new show will be titled ‘Summer: The Donna Summer Musical’, and will make its debut with Norwegian aboard the Norwegian Prima, which is currently scheduled to welcome aboard passengers on its first sailings next month, August 2022.

Today, May 10th 2022, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings released their first quarter 2022 financial results. The first quarter of the year ended on March 31st 2022.

Norwegian Cruise Line is one of the most popular mainstream cruise lines, offering families a variety of ships sailing worldwide. However, nobody wants to plan a cruise vacation just to be hit with a bunch of additional fees.

The Italian ship builder Fincantieri is currently in negotiations with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings for a ship order worth $4 billion in order to build new vessels for the cruise line.

Details are not yet officially confirmed, however, Italian Daily II Secolo XIX reported on Sunday May 1, 2022 that six new ships are being discussed, to be built by the shipbuilder Fincantieri for Norwegian Cruise Line.

Due to supply chain issues and challenges that Norwegian Cruise Line has faced, Norwegian Prima’s first sailing has been cancelled.

The cruise line has sent passengers an email, who are currently booked to sail with the new ship. The email explained to guests that the cruise line has been forced to delay Norwegian Prima’s inaugural voyage due to supply chain challenges.
