Royal Caribbean ships sailing from Singapore to Malaysia end of June

Royal Caribbean Cruises ships will be returning to Singapore and Malaysia beginning the end of this month. Ships will be making stops in destination ports such as Penang and Port Klang.

Royal Caribbean Cruises stated today (June 2) that it will begin offering three- and four-night sailings in the region at the end of June. These itineraries will be aboard Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas ship.

Royal Caribbean ship Harmony of the Seas collides with dock in Jamaica

Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas departed from Port Canaveral on Sunday, May 22, for a voyage in the Bahamas, before then setting sail for Jamaica.

During the ships arrival in Falmouth, Jamaica, Thursday morning, Harmony of the Seas made contact with the dock. No injuries amongst passengers or crew have been reported, and the ship received only minor damage to the stern. The ship is said to have collided with a small concrete mooring pylon. The collision has caused minor dents and paint scrapes to the ship.

All Royal Caribbean ships are back in service for the first time since March 2020

After more than two years, all 26 of Royal Caribbean Cruises ships are officially back in service for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown in March 2020.

Self-service buffets are back on Royal Caribbean cruise ships

This week Royal Caribbean officially announced that self-service buffets will be coming back to their cruise ships.

As first reported by RoyalCaribbeanBlog.com, beginning with cruises departing on, and after, April 2nd 2022, passengers will now be able to serve themselves at buffet locations onboard Royal Caribbean ships.

Prior to this announcement, guests had been served by crew members while eating at buffet locations.

Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas celebrates keel-laying ceremony

Royal Caribbean International’s newest cruise ship, the Icon of the Seas has undergone a crucial next-step in being ready for its first sailings of 2023.

The Icon of the Seas has finished its ceremonial keel-laying, an important maritime tradition for new vessels, which includes the use of a 3,000-ton crane to lift a massive steel block that is placed into the ship’s building dock.
