Royal Caribbean cancelled the next three scheduled sailings of Oasis of the Seas due to the extra time needed to repair damage made to the ship by a crane that fell on it.
While docked in Freeport, Bahamas for scheduled work on Monday, a crane fell onto the ship. Because of that, sailings planned for April 7, April 14 and April 21 are canceled.
The incident resulted in damage to the Aqua Theatre and some suites.
Guests will receive a full refund and credit toward a future cruise. In addition, the cruise line will offer cash for airline change-fee refunds up to $200 for domestic US flights or $400 for international flights.
Eight people were injured, but no passengers were on the ship at the time of the crash, according to the reports.
