Celebrity Cruises announced new, exciting features coming to its newest ship this November. 

Fans of the award-winning Edge Class series have plenty of familiar favorites to look forward to. However, a few spots are receiving upgrades to make them even better on Celebrity Xcel. 

The upper level of The Club, for instance, will be transformed into an all-day, all-night games room with neon lights. 

Celebrity Infinity is stuck in Kuşadası, Turkey, after suffering a power outage that left the ship without air conditioning and delayed meals. 

The 90,040 gross-ton vessel was scheduled to depart Kuşadası on July 7, continuing on to Mykonos on July 8. However, an alleged electrical fire forced the ship to remain docked overnight while crews assessed the damage and ensured everything was working properly. 

Royal Caribbean's newest mega-ship launches next month, and while many features of the next Icon Class ship are identical to those of Icon of the Seas, a few key tweaks will give Star of the Seas a defining personality of her own. 

It's common for cruise lines to make changes to their ships as they gather feedback from guests and crew members. Although the updates might seem subtle, such as an extra hot tub, they are intentional and aim to enhance the overall guest experience. 

Since launching in 2022, Margaritaville at Sea has carved out a niche for itself by offering affordable getaways with a laid-back vibe inspired by Jimmy Buffett’s lifestyle. 

However, as one of the newest cruise lines at sea, the company lacks decades of history, and the fleet is small, comprising just two ships. They are rapidly expanding, though. 

Margaritaville's first ship, the Paradise, set sail in 2022, followed by the Islander in 2024. Recently, they announced that a third ship, the Beachcomber, will join the fleet in 2026.

A passenger sailing aboard a Carnival cruise ship was startled when a low-flying Navy military plane zoomed past the vessel while at sea. 

In a 1.5-minute TikTok captured by Nathan Miller, a P-8 Poseidon aircraft is seen flying low over the water. Miller expresses his concern while narrating the entire video. 

"Y'all, this is making me really nervous. I don't know what's about to happen," he says, "I hope [the plane] is just turning."
