Royal Caribbean has temporarily closed down its SkyPad feature to all guests on Independence of the Seas and Mariner of the Seas in an effort to review and inspect the ride.
The SkyPad is a fusion trampoline jump mixed with virtual reality headsets.
Royal Caribbean confirmed the SkyPad is shutdown via Twitter, "The SkyPad is temporarily unavailable. We're currently conducting a review as the safety as part of our commitment to safety for all of our guests. I'm very sorry for any disappointment this has caused."
The shutdown comes after the cruise line was sued by a man who fell off the ride and is now suing Royal Caribbean for damages.
According to the suit, Casey Holladay says he was on a weekend cruise to the Bahamas on the Mariner of the Seas in February when he plunged to the ship's deck after the harness he was fastened to disconnected while he was 20 feet in the air. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Miami on March 12.
