Cunard Cruises announced today it has extended its cruise suspension by cancelling all sailings until November due to coronavirus.
Cunard President Simon Palethorpe said the cruise line is canceling all sailings on the Queen Elizabeth ship departing through Nov. 23, as well as those on Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria through Nov. 1.
Like many other cruise lines, Cunard had paused operations until the end of July, but has decided to continue that suspension. Unlike other cruise lines, Cunard has opted to push its new date of operations into November. Most other cruise lines have cancelled sailings through the end of July.
Mr. Palethorpe said the cruise line is working with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Public Health England, CLIA and medical professionals to review cleaning protocols, social distancing on board and looking at how to screen passengers and crew.
