Royal Caribbean announced on Tuesday it has postponed all of its upcoming Royal Amplifications until further notice.
Plans for upgrades and enhancements on four ships are now in limbo, as the cruise line cited the impact of COVID-19 and the closure of shipyards as forcing their hand in making this delay.
Allure of the Seas will have her Amplification postponed until further notice. In addition, due to pier construction delays in the Galveston terminal, the pier will unfortunately not be ready to welcome an Oasis Class ship. Therefore, Allure will no longer sail from Galveston, Texas, and rather, local fan-favorite Liberty of the Seas will assume Allure’s itineraries in late 2021.
The Amplifications for Adventure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas have also been postponed until further notice.
All Explorer sailings will be cancelled through August 2020 to complete a technical dry dock.
