I love cruising, whether a port-intensive sailing to Greece or a short getaway to the Bahamas, so within the past year, I sailed on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Carnival ships to try and uncover the best cruise line for Bahamas cruises. 

Each line is known for something different. Carnival, for example, is known for its fun, lively atmosphere with plenty of activities geared toward partygoers and families. On the other hand, Celebrity provides a more refined and sophisticated experience, with an emphasis on fine dining and world-class service. 

Those who have cruised before know how important the Cruise Director is. They play a pivotal role in ensuring each guest has a memorable experience by coordinating activities and hosting events. 

Kyndall “Fire” Magyar, Cruise Director of the brand-new Carnival Jubilee based out of Galveston, Texas, took to social media to give interested cruisers a glimpse into her daily life. The video shared on her Facebook account has received over 3,000 likes. 

Passengers sailing aboard a Carnival cruise ship now have to pay more to stay connected with friends and family back home. The popular cruise line has quietly increased the cost of all three internet plans by as much as 22%.

One popular cruise line increased the price of its drink package without warning. Passengers sailing on Carnival cruises 6 nights or longer now have to pay more for their CHEERS! beverage package. 

Does Carnival have plans to restructure its loyalty program in the future? Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear likely, according to Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador.

Cruise line loyalty programs are incredibly valuable, rewarding frequent cruisers for their commitment to a single brand. Similar to airline or hotel loyalty programs, cruisers who repeatedly sail with one line enjoy enticing benefits and lucrative perks. Each major cruise line approaches loyalty rewards differently, tailoring programs to their unique customer base.

After removing a popular appetizer from its Main Dining Room menus in 2023, Carnival Cruise Line confirmed the return of escargot. 

Whether you're an adventurous eater or want to step outside your comfort zone at least once, cruising lets you explore different cuisines without the fear of commitment. If you order a dish you don't like, you can simply order something else for no extra charge. 

Carnival Cruise Line has recently tightened its policies, including implementing a new rule regarding controversial door decorations.

While decorating your stateroom door has become an increasingly popular cruise activity, one secret sign for swingers has now been banned from Carnival’s cruise ships. Confirmed by brand ambassador John Heald, the cruise line will no longer allow upside-down pineapples to be displayed on stateroom doors.

When it comes to mainstream cruise lines in North America, most people would immediately think of Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Carnival Cruise Line has added a new cruise essential to its prohibited items list: Bluetooth speakers. The surprising move has left many customers fuming over the change, while some are praising the cruise line for the move.

Carnival’s website was recently updated to include specific verbiage prohibiting guests from bringing speaks onboard their ships, citing safety concerns.
