Princess Cruises plans to roll out "the Best Wi-Fi at sea" to six ship in 2019

Princess Cruises says it will launch MedallionNet, which it promises will be the best Wi-Fi at sea, to more than half of its fleet.

Princess will continue its swift expansion of MedallionNet to add the service on additional ships by the end of 2019. MedallionNet expands to Coral Princess and Island Princess in time for the Alaska season, Crown Princess and Emerald Princess for sailings during this summer to Europe and on Golden Princess and Sky Princess this fall. MedallionNet is currently available on Caribbean Princess, Regal Princess, Royal Princess and Ruby Princess.

Princess Cruises Announces Leadership Team for New Ship Sky Princess

Fire destroys Princess Cruises private island in Bahamas

It appears Princess Cruises' private island in the Bahamas suffered some damage due to a fire.

Bahamas Press reports a fire ripped through Princess Cays, located on the Southern tip of Eleuthera near the community of Bannerman Town.

Reports say the fire started late Monday night, sometime after 11pm. The fire began in the generator section and quickly spread to the center of the resort.

Mercury is reporting a Princess Cruise ship passenger died on a sailing between Australia and New Zealand.

A spokesperson for Princess said a 22-year-old man sailing on the Golden Princess went missing and his family has been notified.
