Margaritaville at Sea

I tried a cruise line I'd always overlooked, but I liked it so much more thanks to really nice upgrades

Most people have heard of cruise lines like Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian. However, there’s a relatively new player in the market: Margaritaville at Sea.

Margaritaville at Sea launched its first ship, the Paradise, in May 2022. A year later, the ship underwent a massive two-week dry dock before re-entering service in June. However, the cruise line launched another vessel in June 2024: Margaritaville at Sea Islander.

I tried a $2,000 suite on Margaritaville’s new cruise ship, and it was so much better than I expected

Recently, I had the opportunity to stay in a Grand Terrance Suite on Margaritaville’s newest cruise ship on a 4-night voyage from Florida to Mexico and was more impressed than I thought I would be.

Margaritaville at Sea’s Islander started as Costa Atlantica, offering cruises for Costa from 2000 until 2019. However, Margaritaville didn't purchase the ship until 2023.

I went back onboard Margaritaville at Sea to see what has been improved

In August 2022, I cruised on Margaritaville at Sea’s Paradise ship for the very first time. When I stepped onboard, the ship had only been operated by Margaritaville at Sea for three months. I was prepared for the unexpected and boarded the ship with an open mind to see what the brand brought to the high seas.

What it's like to sail on a very short & cheap 2-night Margaritaville at Sea cruise

Jimmy Buffet's new cruise line, Margaritaville At Sea, sails two-night cruises on an older, refurbished ship that is very enticing for the low prices you can find.

The new cruise line has chosen to convert, refurbish, and re-theme an older vessel for its purposes of bringing guests on a quick visit to The Bahamas, and has named its first ship Paradise

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line offering new active-focused shore excursions

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line unveiled new shore excursion options at Grand Bahama Island for guests looking for a bit more activity in their activities. The new active excursions were added to match increased demand by cruisers that want a little more out of their experiences on shore.

The activities are offered as either an individual tour or bundle that includes the tour and two-night cruise in an ocean-view cabin.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line announced sailings to Cuba

Budget cruise operator Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line announced it will offer a four-night cruise to Cuba onboard the Grand Classica.

The Grand Classica will depart the port on February 14, 2019, on a 4-night voyage which will only call at Havana for 10 hours on February 15.

February 16 will feature a day at sea with an open-air concert featuring Los Cuatro, Laritza Bacallao, and La Pantoja.

A day later, the ship will be back in Havana for an eight-hour call, before returning to Palm Beach on February 18.
