The transfer of the ship is carried out again by the team of the pilot fraternity Emden. The Emslotsen have also transferred the ships of MEYER WERFT in previous years. The entire transfer team trained this maneuver on the computer-controlled simulator in Wageningen, the Netherlands, to be even better prepared.

The passage of the Spectrum of the Seas over the Ems will be done with the support of the Ems barrier. The duration of the passage is kept as short as possible. Further information on the function and operation of the barrage at www.nlwkn.niedersachsen.de.

The 169,300 GT cruise ship accommodates 4,284 passengers. Like the sister ships Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas, the newest addition to the project is the glass-lined North Star, the surf simulator Flow Rider and the skydiving simulator Rip Cord. New is a bungee trampoline at the stern of the ship, on which the passengers wear a virtual reality headset to immerse themselves in different worlds of experience.
