Royal Caribbean has shared its new worldwide coronavirus screening procedures, meant to keep its guests safe while on a cruise.
The procedures add two-step checklist to prevent someone possibly infected with the coronavirus from boarding a ship.
1. Anyone who has traveled through mainland China or Hong Kong in the past 15 days will be denied boarding.
2. Anyone with exposure to someone who has visited mainland China or Hong Kong in the past 15 days, is a Chinese passport holder, or demonstrated any signs of flu-like illness or symptoms will be subject to a secondary screening:
- High temperature
- Low pulse oximetry reading
Royal Caribbean has already cancelled three Spectrum of the Seas sailings earlier this week due to coronavirus concerns.
