Carnival Corporation reported its fourth quarter 2020 financial results on Monday, indicating a $2.2 billion loss, along with an update on what it is doing to keep the business going.

Another quarter of financial results during the cruise shutdown revealed the company's current financial situation, along with what it is doing to maintain its business during the shutdown.

Not surprisingly, Carnival reported a U.S. GAAP net loss of $2.2 billion and adjusted net loss of $1.9 billion for the fourth quarter of 2020.

Carnival Cruise Line announced it has decided to cancel all of its March 2021 cruises.

In a new update, the cruise line said it would extend their pause in cruising through the end of March 31, 2021.  Carnival had cancelled all of its cruises through the end of February 2021 prior to today's announcement.

Carnival did not announce or mention any of its plans to conduct test sailings as part of today's announcement.

Carnival Cruise Line took delivery of its newest cruise ship today.

The Mardi Gras was delivered during a live virtual signing ceremony at the Meyer Turku Shipyard in Turku, Finland.

Delivery of Carnival's next new cruise ship has been delayed, but the ship is finally part of the fleet and will begin offering cruises in April 2021 from Port Canaveral, Florida.

Carnival Cruise Line released a photo of Santa Claus going for a ride on the first roller coaster on a cruise ship.

The Carnival Mardi Gras is in Finland, which will feature the BOLT roller coaster.  The ship will be delivered at the Meyer Turku shipyard later this week.

Carnival Cruise Line has announced more cruise cancellations, this time canceling all sailings including from PortMiami and Port Canaveral through February 28, 2021.

Carnival will also push back the debut of the new Carnival Mardi Gras until April 24, 2021.

Carnival is also cancelling the remaining itineraries scheduled to operate from Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston through Feb. 28.

Carnival Cruise Line announced on Wednesday another round of cancellations that extend as far into 2021 as March.

In order to take the necessary time to prepare the cruise line for the needs of the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control (CDC) Framework for Resuming Cruise Ship Operations Order, more cruises need to be cancelled.

The new cancellations include:

Carnival Corporation joined the parade of cruise lines announcing their December 2020 cruises are cancelled.

Carnival announced its North American cruise line brands will extend their existing pause in operations, suspending cruise voyages between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020.

Following the other major cruise lines, Carnival Cruise Line announced it too has cancelled its November 2020 cruises.

There were six total ships set to sail from PortMiami and Port Canaveral in November 2020, but these are all now cancelled.

Carnival Corporation provided a business update that reported very good 2021 booking numbers, along with insight into when cruises might restart.
