Cruise ships have three categories of standard cabins: interior, oceanview, and balcony. Interior rooms are usually the smallest cabins onboard and lack sunlight since they don't have any windows. As such, oceanview and balcony staterooms are popular for cruisers who enjoy natural light and beautiful ocean views. But how do you decide which cruise ship cabin is best for your family? 

I've had the joy and privilege of sailing on nine different Norwegian Cruise Line ships over the last two years. Yet, like most passengers, my experience had always been limited to the areas open to guests only.

While Royal Caribbean's newest cruise ships exemplify the latest innovative designs, passengers sailing on the upcoming Star of the Seas should expect the onboard musical to take them back in time. 

According to Royal Caribbean Productions' Facebook page, the company is holding auditions for Back to the Future: The Musical in London, England. Based on the beloved 1985 film, the musical promises to bring a nostalgic and energetic experience to the ship's entertainment lineup. 

Having sailed to Alaska, the Bahamas, Caribbean, Europe, and the Mexican Riveria, the allure of Bermuda's pink sand beaches, turquoise waters, and rich maritime history led me to book a cruise on Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas. 

As a fan of Royal's newest ships—namely those in the groundbreaking Oasis Class—I wasn't quite sure what I'd think of Vision, one of the line's oldest ships at sea. Still, the primary reason for selecting the cruise wasn't about the ship—it was the destination!
