I stayed in the cheapest cabin aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, Norwegian Aqua. 

Norwegian Aqua set sail in March 2025 as the first of the cruise line’s Prima Plus ships, featuring new amenities, dining venues, and more. 

There are cabin types for all travelers, ranging from balconies to spacious multi-story suites. However, I chose the most affordable stateroom onboard: a standard interior cabin. 

A 79-year-old cruise ship passenger has gone overboard from a Norwegian cruise ship. 

Guests onboard the Norwegian Star shared that they were awoken by the secret "man overboard" code early on Tuesday, Aug. 12. 

"We were woken this morning by a 'Code Oscar' announcement, which means someone has gone overboard," wrote one cruiser on Reddit.

There is an urgent search underway for a passenger traveling aboard a Norwegian cruise ship in Alaska who has gone missing. 

Local news outlets reported that Marites Buenafe, 62, of Kentucky, was last seen around 7:30am on Tuesday, July 1, as she disembarked Norwegian Bliss in Juneau. 

Last year, the CDC inspected 151 ships as part of its Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP), which evaluates everything from food preparation to public pools and medical facilities. 

However, only a fraction received perfect scores. Among these, one line was the most consistent. Out of 30 perfect scores, Norwegian Cruise Line had 7 ships receive a flawless 100. 

Within the past week, three cruise ships have broken free from their secured moorings in port, disrupting thousands of passengers. 

The chaos started with Norwegian Epic on Friday, May 30. While visiting Catania, Sicily, a powerful wind gust struck the vessel's port side around 1:00pm. Consequently, the mooring lines began snapping one at a time. 

One cruise line is investing in making its private island even better. 

Norwegian Cruise Line broke ground on its $150 million project at Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. Currently, guests have to tender ashore. However, the new development includes the construction of a pier that will allow two ships to dock.
