Royal Caribbean Pledges Support For United Nations Global LGBTI Standards Of Conduct For Business

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. announced today its commitment to the United Nations Global LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business, a set of five codes of conduct created in order to protect lesbian, gay, bi, trans and intersex (LGBTI) people from discrimination across business sectors.

The next new Royal Caribbean ship, Spectrum of the Seas, has departed her shipyard to head to the North Sea for her sea trials.

Spectrum, which measures in at 1,139 feet long, made its way on the half-day journey along the Ems River on its eventual way to sea trials in the North Sea.

Man sues Royal Caribbean after falling off trampoline experience

Casey Holladay is suing Royal Caribbean for $20 million after he fell off the SkyPad on Mariner of the Seas.

According to NBC 6, Holladay said he fell off the trampoline/bungee combo during the ride and dropped about 20 feet to the ground. Holladay says he was brought back to Miami, where he underwent multiple surgeries to repair his pelvis and shoulder.

Serenade of the Seas conveyance scheduled

Royal Caribbean's Spectrum of the Seas, is expected to leave Papenburg on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 and be transported on the Ems to Eemshaven (Netherlands). The arrival in Eemshaven is scheduled for Thursday, 21 March. After technical and nautical trials, Spectrum of the Seas arrives later in Bremerhaven.

The Spectrum of the Seas will sail back towards the North Sea and back with the help of two tugs. This type of transfer has proven itself because of its better maneuverability.

Royal Caribbean releases new 2020-2021 sailings

Royal Caribbean announced new sailings for 2020-2021 winter season.  

Adventure of the Seas will homeport in Galveston, sailing four- and five-day cruises.

Enchantment of the Seas will sail seven-night itineraries from San Juan, Puerto Rico for the first time.

Explorer of the Seas will offer five- and nine-night sailings from Miami.

Independence of the Seas will cruise out of Port Everglades in November 2020, sailing four and five nights to the Western Caribbean and Nassau.

Royal Caribbean denies boarding to disabled guest on embarkation day

An Australian man that suffers from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) was denied boarding on a Royal Caribbean ship due to his condition this weekend.

Cell biologist Justin Yerbury posted on social media that the cruise line denied his family boarding of their Royal Caribbean cruise, which has been planned since November.

Couple claims their cruise ship left them in Mexico following medical issue

A New Jersey couple sailing on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas say the cruise ship forced them to stay in Mexico when one of them got sick with a bleeding stomach ulcer.

The ship's medical staff were unable to treat her, so they opted to transfer her to a hospital.

The couple spent more than $3,400 getting home after riding in the back of a cab during a five-hour trip through the country trying to catch a plane to get back home.

Royal Caribbean has released new construction photos that show off the progress being made on its newest ship, Spectrum of the Seas.

Cruise ship leaves late passengers behind at dock

A couple who were late to returning to Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas had the unfortunate distinction of being left behind at the pier.

According to some reports online, the ship waited past the departure time for the couple while in Nassau, Bahamas.  By the time the couple arrived, the ship had already begun to leave.

Symphony of the Seas was on a 7-night Western Caribbean sailing.
