Disney Cruise Line cancels April cruises

Disney Fantasy

Disney Cruise Line announced it has cancelled all of its April 2021 cruises, as well as some May 2021 sailings.

Select sailings onboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder in May have been cancelled.

The new round of cancellations are a result of needing time to prepare to meet the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The full statement by Disney reads as follows:

Our team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of our Guests and team members. We are carefully preparing for a return to service following the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As we continue to refine our protocols and await further technical guidance from the CDC, we are cancelling all sailings through April 2021 and select sailings onboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder in May.

Disney cancelled the following sailings:

  • Disney Fantasy: through April 24, 2021
  • Disney Dream: through April 30
  • Disney Magic: through May 6
  • Disney Wonder: through May 12

Disney's cancellation of April 2021 cruises matches all the other major cruise lines, but their decision to cancel some May sailings is a bit ahead of the pack.
