Celebrity Cruises is teasing exciting new additions coming to Celebrity Xcel.
Fans of the award-winning Edge Class series have plenty of familiar favorites to look forward to. However, one spot that is receiving a major upgrade is Eden.
The popular venue is being transformed into The Bazaar, a new multi-level, multi-sensory space that is unlike anything at sea and will be an epicenter of excitement onboard. Unique festivals, entertainment, culinary offers, and non-stop activities will transform The Bazaar throughout the voyage to introduce guests to experiences inspired by the ports they visit.
Eden was initially launched on Celebrity Edge and quickly became an Edge Class staple on Celebrity Apex, Beyond, and Ascent. The multi-level venue transforms from a relaxing retreat during the day to a high-energy nightlife destination at night.
It's also home to the specialty restaurant Eden, where guests can indulge in a unique dining experience that combines creative culinary presentations with mesmerizing ocean views from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
“The Bazaar is a truly one-of-a-kind space designed to seamlessly blend ship and shore and transform the way guests experience destinations,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises.
“Celebrity Xcel intentionally extends the destination experience onboard through a continued authentic offering between ports of call, allowing guests to take the destination with them.”
Four new festivals
Each festival is inspired by Caribbean destinations and traditions and will include local snacks and drinks, craft experiences, cooking and dance classes, and musical performances.
The festivals will be linked to where the ship is sailing and help immerse guests in the culture of the ports they're visiting to extend their time “onshore” in an unconventional way while at sea.
When Celebrity Xcel ventures to Europe in 2026, The Bazaar will reflect Mediterranean destinations and feature festivals, markets, and culinary experiences inspired by European ports.
Market at The Bazaar
Sea days are just as exciting with local artisans coming on board to offer immersive shopping experiences and showcase their skills and traditions—think basket weaving and craft demonstrations.
Guests will also find authentic goods such as traditional Mexican leather hats, Caribbean masks, embroidery stations, and more.
The offerings will change to reflect the festival themes. One day, there might be a rum and chocolate pairing, while the next, there's a local hot sauce tasting! No two days at The Bazaar will be the same, keeping guests on their toes and continuously discovering new cultural traditions, snacks, and more.
Mosaic
With the space's redesign, Eden and the Eden Cafe will be replaced by Mosaic and Spice. Mosaic will offer high-quality dishes inspired by the ship's destinations, served in an open kitchen setting. It’s perfect for guests who love exploring new cultures through food but don’t have time for a full meal while ashore.
The Chef's Table Experience at Mosaic is even more special. Celebrity's global leadership team will develop dishes inspired by their native cuisines. The dishes will be plated and presented in an elevated way, akin to the traditional fine dining experience expected at the Chef's Table. The multi-course menu will represent all continents and be paired with wines from Celebrity's award-winning selection.
Finally, Chef's Studio at Mosaic is the cruise line's first destination-inspired cooking school. Passengers can learn to prepare dishes inspired by the ports they visit. Like the market, the cooking school's menu will change to reflect the festival themes.
The cost of these experiences hasn't been released yet.
Spice
Spice is the new on-the-go dining venue on Celebrity Xcel. The daytime selection will feature rotating bites with special items inspired by the ship's itinerary.
While dining, guests can take in the amazing views from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Members of the newly announced “Dream Makers” community will shape The Bazaar
Traditionally, a ship's aesthetics, culinary options, and programming are decided by teams across the cruise line and vetted through focus groups and executives. However, Celebrity Cruises is letting its fans be more involved with its newest ship.
The Dream Makers can vote on seven new experiences, one being The Bazaar. They will choose the festival entertainment, market activities, menu items, and more! The other six areas have yet to be revealed.
