Norwegian Cruise Line will resume sailings with five ships when sailings start back up

When Norwegian Cruise Line resumes sailings, it will probably begin with five ships at a time, and take around five to six months before fleet is operational.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. provided its plan as part of its first quarter 2020 earnings report to shareholders.

NCLH CEO Frank Del Rio explained the phased approach to resume cruises, beginning with up to six months to resume fleetwide operations across all 28 of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' ships.

Norwegian Cruise line opens new bookings into 2023

Norwegian Cruise Line opened bookings for new sailings that extend into 2023.

Norwegian announced guests can begin booking cruises in 2021 through 2023, with voyages to over 20 new destinations across all seven continents.

Norwegian Cruise Line expects to cruise again in 2020

Norwegian Cruise Line CEO Frank Del Rio commented publicly that he expects the cruise line to sail again in 2020.

Del Rio spoke to CNBC, where he said, "We expect to sail sometime in 2020. It would be irresponsible for me to give you a specific date because we still have to gain clearance from the CDC and other government agencies, but we’re working hard shoulder-to-shoulder with them to develop an enhanced protocol of every kind you can think of."

Norwegian Cruise Line cancels cruises through May 10 due to coronavirus

Norwegian Cruise Lines followed other major cruise lines by announcing on Monday it will expand its voluntary suspended cruises across the fleet to include all sailings through April 11, 2020.

NCL aims to resume operations on May 11, 2020.

Norwegian Cruise Line will temporarily halt cruises until April 11 due to Coronavirus

 Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced it will temporarily suspend its sailings between March 13 and April 11, 2020 due to the spread of Coronavirus.

The halt affects all three brands, including Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises & Regent Cruises.

Norwegian Cruise Line announces 2021 itineraries

Norwegian Cruise Line has released a number of new itineraries for sale select 2021 itineraries on Norwegian Jade, Pearl, Sky, Star and Sun.

New for 2021 is something the cruise line calls "Extraordinary Journeys", which are described as longer, one-of-a-kind port-rich voyages.

Norwegian Spirit finishes $100 million drydock and will sail Greek Isles

Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Spirit just completed a $100 million drydock, as part of the Northwegian Edge fleetwide upgrade program.

The Norwegian Spirit finishes a 43-day dry dock that added  14 new venues, additional and updated staterooms, enhanced public areas and new hull art.

Norwegian Cruise Line cancels all Asia Norwegian Spirit sailings through end of 2020

Norwegian Cruise Line announced it has cancelled all of its Norwegian Spirit sailings in Asia through December 7, 2020 due to coronavirus concerns.

The Norwegian Spirit was scheduled to offering cruises from Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo in 2020, as part of her Asian cruise season.

In addition to airfare change fees, the cruise line is offering a full refund of cruise fares paid, along with a future cruise credit worth 10 percent as compensation for new cruises booked in the next 45 days.

NCL has not announced where the ship will sail from instead.

Norwegian Cruise Line increases Room Service Fee

Norwegian Cruise Line has updated its website to indicate the convenience charge for room service orders has increased to $9.95 per order.

The previous convenience charge was at $7.95.

Norwegian Cruise Line previews new exclusive beach area at private island in the Bahamas

Norwegian Cruise Line announced "Silver Cove", which is a new exclusive oceanfront rest-style destination at Great Stirrup Cay private island.

Great Stirrup Cay is undergoing a number of enhancements across the 270-acre island in The Bahamas. During Norwegian Encore’s inaugural call to Great Stirrup Cay, guests discovered the new oceanfront lagoon area including private beach access, 38 beachfront villas, a Mandara Spa as well as a new Moet Bar and the Silver Cove Restaurant and Bar.
