Norwegian Cruise Line revamps drink package offerings

NCL Bermuda Triangle Punch

Norwegian Cruise Line announced a new name for its popular drink package, along with the addition of a new drink package for guests who enjoy the best kind of liquor.

The Ultimate Beverage Package has been renamed to the Premium Beverage Package, and a new Premium-Plus Package has been added.  The Premium Beverage Package will continue to be offered as a free perk, while the Premium-Plus Package will not.

The Premium Beverage Package costs $118.80 per guest, per day (including 20 percent gratuity) and includes any cocktails, wines by the glass, or beer — bottled or draft — that cost $15 or less. Unlimited sodas, juices at all of the bars, lounges and restaurants and Great Stirrup Cay are included with the Premium Package.

The Premium-Plus package also offers a 40 percent discount on all other bottles of wine as well as on tastings or flights. It’s available to purchase pre-cruise and will run you $153.60 per person, per day (including the 20 percent gratuity).

If you have the Premium Beverage Package, you can order top-shelf liquors and pay the difference in price.

A full list of beverages covered by the Premium Beverage Package can be found here.

Guests that have the Premium Beverage Package can upgrade to the Premium-Plus package at a cost of $34.80 per person, per day, including the 20 percent gratuity. Guests are able to upgrade once they are on board.

As of right now, the Premium-Plus package is available on the Norwegian Pearl, Dawn, Gem, Jewel, and Star. (It is also available on sailings of the Norwegian Sun that are not all-inclusive trips). It’s expected to be introduced across the entire fleet by the end of March, with the exception of Norwegian Sky and Pride of America.
