Royal Caribbean announced it has cancelled five 2021 sailings of Liberty of the Seas to provide more time for the ship to be upgraded.
Royal Caribbean Blog first reported the cancellation, citing the cruise line wanted to have more time for the ship's scheduled Royal Amplification. The affected sailings are:
- February 14, 2021
- February 21, 2021
- February 28, 2021
- March 7, 2021
- March 14, 2021
Passengers who were booked on one of these sailings have been offered the choice to cancel or rebook on Liberty of the Seas during another time of the year, or Jewel of the Seas sailings departing around the same time. They could also rebook on another ship without penalty.
In a letter to guests, it was explained that the cancellations are necessary in order to perform the upgrades and enhancements the ship.
