Celebrity has restarted cruises in the United States, but there are still more cancellations happening.
Two Celebrity ships scheduled to sail this year have had select sailings cancelled, according to the cruise line.
Celebrity informed travel agents on Wednesday of the changes.
Two Celebrity Silhouette sailings to Europe departing September 4 and September 18, 2021 are now cancelled. Celebrity said it has done this because of uncertainty in many parts of Europe, so "out of an abundance of caution", the decision was made to cancel them.
In addition, Celebrity has cancelled seven Celebrity Eclipse sailings from Australia departing October 18 through December 21, 2021.
Just like Royal Caribbean International's recent decision to cancel, uncertainty related to when Australia will allow cruise ships to sail again forced this decision.
Guests on the cancelled cruises have a choice of 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) or a 100% Refund.
For the Silhouette sailings, Celebrity is also offering a Lift and Shift option, which allows a guest to reschedule the sailing for a cruise next year within four weeks of the originally scheduled departure.
From now through July 14, guests on a cancelled sailing may Lift and Shift their current reservation to a Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Reflection, or Celebrity Silhouette sailing departing in 2022 to any one of a variety of European destinations.
Similarly, guests booked on a Celebrity Eclipse sailing can Lift and Shift their reservation for next year on a date within four weeks of your originally scheduled departure.
