Carnival Cruise Line unveils an unusual partnership

Carnival, one of the most popular cruise lines in the world, teamed up with Wyndham Rewards to make earning points on fun-filled cruise vacations easier than before.

Starting March 25, Wyndham Rewards members can book Carnival vacations through Wyndham Travel Bundles, making it easier to plan everything from flights to pre-cruise hotel stays and excursions while earning Wyndham Rewards points for future trips.

Members earn one Wyndham Rewards point per dollar on all cruise bundles, airfare, car rentals, and airport transfers, as well as up to 10 points per dollar on qualifying hotel stays and activities. Plus, Wyndham offers a special discount on the cruise fare, helping reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

"Carnival is the world's most popular cruise line, and its iconic red funnel serves as a passport to unforgettable journeys - making it the perfect addition to Wyndham Travel Bundles. From setting sail to unwinding after an adventure at sea, members earn every step of the way," said Michael Shiwdin, GVP, Guest Engagement, Loyalty & Strategic Partnerships, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

"It's all turning dream vacations into even more rewarding experiences, giving travelers more ways to explore, more ways to earn, and more ways to make the most out of every adventure."

Wyndham Rewards members can sail through the Caribbean and relax at Carnival's new private destination, Celebration Key, or book a port-intensive sailing through Alaska to explore The Last Frontier.

Wyndham Hotels are conveniently located near many cruise ports, allowing cruisers to earn even more points on pre-cruise stays.

For example, there are over 8 Wyndham-owned hotels in the Miami area, ranging from familiar brands like La Quinta Inn & Suites to Wingate by Wyndham and Wyndham Garden.

These hotels provide the perfect base for travelers to relax before embarking on their Carnival cruise from Miami, which is home to 6 ships: Carnival Celebration, Conquest, Horizon, Legend, Magic, and Sunrise.

Earning points on your Carnival cruise vacation ensures that travelers can make the most of their getaway, so future travel can be even more affordable.

"Wyndham is a fantastic partner and we're eager to work together on creating even more unforgettable vacations and giving their loyalty members a fresh and easy way to enjoy our cruises. This collaboration not only expands our reach but also offers travelers a seamless, all-in-one vacation experience," said Ken Tate, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Carnival Cruise Line.

Plus, through April 30, 2025, members earn double points on all Wyndham Travel Bundles. Note that all travel must be completed by December 31, 2025. However, if you haven't planned your summer vacation, you now have a great incentive through Wyndham Rewards and Carnival's new partnership!

While the new partnership is great for Wyndham Rewards members who want to boost their personal point balance, you won't earn extra VIFP (Very Important Fun Person) points.

VIFP points are specific to Carnival Cruise Line's loyalty program and are separate from Wyndham Rewards points.

Still, booking your cruise through Wyndham Travel Bundles could be advantageous, as you'll earn Wyndham Rewards points that can be redeemed on future hotel stays, whether before another cruise or on an all-inclusive vacation to Punta Cana or Montego Beach, Jamaica.

Moreover, with Wyndham’s expansive network of hotels across destinations like Paris, France; Cologne, Germany; and Athens, Greece, you can easily redeem points earned from Carnival cruises while exploring famous European cities.
