The homeport for Margaritaville at Sea's newest cruise ship was a mystery — until now.
The new flagship vessel, Beachcomber, will join the other two Margaritaville ships in Florida, sailing year-round from Miami, Florida, debunking rumors that she'd offer cruises from Galveston, Texas.
PortMiami is the world's busiest cruise port, welcoming over 8.2 million passengers in 2024. It's also a traveler-friendly cruise hub with easy access from all major U.S. and international airports — Miami International Airport is less than ten miles away!
Beachcomber will offer 4- to 8-night itineraries to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean from South Florida, starting in 2027.
Ports include Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, USVI; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Bimini, Bahamas; Oranjestad, Aruba; Kralendijk, Bonaire; and Willemstad, Curaçao.
"In just a few short years, we’ve gone from one ship and one itinerary to three homeports, three distinct ships, and over 25 amazing Ports of Indecision throughout the Caribbean," said Christopher Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville at Sea Cruise Line.
"The arrival of Beachcomber in PortMiami is the next big chapter in our growth, giving our guests greater accessibility, more horizons to explore, and more time to unwind."

At over 100,000 gross tons, Beachcomber will be Margaritaville's largest cruise ship
Having launched their first-ever ship in 2022, Margaritaville at Sea is a relatively new player in the cruise industry compared to established lines like Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian.
Today, they operate a fleet of just two ships: Paradise (West Palm Beach) and Islander (Tampa). Both ships are relatively small, with Paradise measuring less than 53,000 gross registered tons (GRT) and Islander around 85,000 GRT.
However, the cruise line's third (and largest) vessel is scheduled to debut in 2027. Costa Fortuna will depart Costa Cruises' fleet in September 2026 to give Margaritaville at Sea time to reimagine the ship with their signature island-inspired design.
According to Ivy, Margaritaville's goal is to take everything successful from the Islander and elevate it to make their newest ship their greatest yet.
"One of the things we are really focused on...is taking a mix of things that people have really loved about Islander, but also delivering a number of new experiences that you have not seen for us," Ivy explained during an exclusive interview with Cruise.Blog.
As such, passengers sailing on the Beachcomber can expect familiar favorites, including the delicious Cheeseburger in Paradise Burger Bar, along with new venues, dining options, and more.
