Disney Cruise Line announced on Monday due to COVID-19, the cruise line has extended the suspension of Disney Magic up to and including the October 2, 2020 sailing.

Disney Cruise Line announced today that due to the Canadian government extending its ban of cruise ships until October 31, sailings on the Disney Wonder that were scheduled to depart between Aug. 3 and Sept. 14, 2020 are cancelled.

Disney Cruise Line is suspending all new departures through April 28, 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement was made on Monday morning that the cruise line made the decision in line with direction from health experts and government officials.

Guests currently booked on affected sailings will be offered the choice of a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date or a full refund. These Guests and travel agents will receive an email from DCL outlining details and next steps.

Disney Cruise Line is in the process of figuring out the next steps for its Alaska cruise season due to the recent closure of Canadian cruise ports through July 1 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Disney Cruise Line posted an update on its website indicating that the Disney Wonder's sailings are directly impacted by this change, since she was scheduled to be homeported from Vancouver beginning April 29.

In the meantime, Disney is currently evaluating various options and have not made changes to any itineraries.

Disney has announced due to the spread of Coronavirus, Disney Cruise Line will halt all sailings beginning on Saturday, March 14, through the end of the month.

The announcement was made at the same time Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris also announced their closures for about the same period of time.
