Disney Cruise Line plans more Marvel-themed sailings in 2022

Marvel fans assemble....on a Disney Cruise Line ship!

Disney Cruise Line announced the new dates for Marvel Day at Sea sailings for 2022.

The popular limited-sailing event occurs on select Disney Magic cruises departing from Miami.

Marvel Day at Sea is available on select 5-night cruises between January and March 2022.

Disney Cruise Line cancels April cruises

Disney Cruise Line announced it has cancelled all of its April 2021 cruises, as well as some May 2021 sailings.

Select sailings onboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder in May have been cancelled.

The new round of cancellations are a result of needing time to prepare to meet the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

There has been plenty of chatter recently with various cruise lines starting back up, but the question remains of when might Disney Cruise Line start cruising again?

Just like most other major cruise lines, Disney Cruise Line states all of its cruises are suspended through June 30, 2021 for Disney Wonder and Disney Dream. Sailings on Disney Fantasy are scrapped through July 31, 2021. See below for info on Disney Magic.

Disney Cruise Line cancels cruises through January 31, 2021

Update, 12/7/2020: Disney Cruise Line has now canceled all departures through February 28, 2021. Potential restart dates for each ship are: Disney Fantasy, March 6; Disney Dream, March 2; Disney Magic, March 2; Disney Wonder, March 13.

 

Disney Cruise Line announced that it has cancelled all of its cruises through the end of January 2021.

All scheduled cruises through January 31, 2021 are now cancelled on Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Cruise Line extends ability to cancel a cruise without penalty

Disney Cruise Line announced on Friday it would extend its Cruise Date Flexibility Offer, which allows cruisers to cancel or change their cruise without a fee.

The Cruise Date Flexibility Offer is now valid on all existing and new reservations made by December 31, 2020 and applies to all cruises on or before May 31, 2021.

Under the policy, guests can change their sail date up to 15 days before their cruise is set to depart without a change fee.

After changing the cruise date under the CDFO, you cannot change it back to the original sail date.

Disney announces 2022 cruises, including new ship itineraries

Disney Cruise Line released their 2022 cruises, which include sailings to Hawaii, the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico, departing from coast-to-coast homeports including New Orleans, Galveston, Texas, San Diego, Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida.

Bookings will become open to the public on Oct. 22, 2020.

New ship: Disney Wish

Disney's next new cruise ship, the Disney Wish, will have her maiden voyage in summer 2022.

In June 2022, Disney Cruise Line added the first new ship to their fleet since the Disney Fantasy in 2012. Dubbed the Disney Wish, it's the first of three ships in Disney's new Triton Class.

At the D23 Expo in September 2022, Disney Cruise Line announced the name of one of the two additional ships on order: Disney Treasure. The Disney Treasure is expected to enter service in 2024, with its unnamed sister following in 2025.

Disney Cruise Line cancels cruises through early December 2020

Disney Cruise Line announced on Tuesday that it has cancelled cruises in late November and early December 2020.

Sailings are cancelled on board the Disney Fantasy through December 6; the Disney Dream and Disney Wonder through December 11; and the Disney Magic through December 12.

In a communication to guests on affected sailings, the cruise line said the decision was based on a need to continue working on new health protocols, as well as ambiguity from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on if there could be an extension of the No Sail order.
