Guide to Norwegian Cruise Line suites: What's included?

NCL suite

What comes to mind when you think of suites onboard cruise ships? Probably luxury and cost. Come along with me as I detail just what exclusive amenities are available to cruise passengers who decide to sail with Norwegian Cruise Line, who stay in Norwegian’s most affluent accommodations - and just how much these deluxe rooms cost.

Some of the most luxurious cruise cabins in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet can be found onboard the fleet’s brand-new Prima Class of ships. Last year Norwegian Cruise Line introduced the first ship in this groundbreaking category, the Norwegian Prima.

Along with the introduction of this new ship, Norwegian brought forth a new design and style not yet seen onboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s older ships. Norwegian is poised to make waves  yet again with the launch of its newest ship this year in August 2023, the Norwegian Viva. These new suits are likely to be just as beautiful, with similar amenities and style as the Norwegian Prima.

We will be analyzing each of the suite categories offered across the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, starting with the most luxurious and expensive, to the most affordable. It is important to know, that not all of these cabin types will be available on every Norwegian ship, and that the cost to stay in these exclusive spaces could change at any time.

Come along with me as we explore and discover what each suite category onboard Norwegian Cruise Line ships has to offer its guests as they sail the high seas!

Just How Much do Suites on Norwegian Cruise Line Ships Cost?

Image
NCL

Often when prospective guests are considering booking a suite category stateroom for their next cruise, their first question is how much do these rooms cost?

The short answer to this question - it all depends.

The cost of a cruise all depends on which category of suite, the ship, the itinerary, and the dates. When comparing suite types, guests should first keep in mind their overall budget for their cruise vacation. Once a budget is established, look to see which suite type fits within that budget.

For example, The Haven Penthouse with Balcony (the most affordable Haven category suite), on a 7-night Caribbean itinerary, onboard the Norwegian Prima, in April 2023, will cost guests about $7,402 for two people. While a Club Balcony Suite on a 7-night Alaska itinerary, onboard the Norwegian Jewel, in May 2023, will cost guests $2,478 for two people.

For prospective guests interested in trying out a suite stateroom with Norwegian Cruise Line, I highly recommend choosing a ship and itinerary first, and then looking to see how much the available suite category staterooms cost for that cruise sailing and dates. It is also likely, that as the date of a cruise approaches, and if the suites have not yet been filled, that the price may decrease. However, that is not always the case.

Some suite categories tend to be filled faster than others. For example, often times the most affordable Haven category of suites tends to fill up the quickest.

Suite category staterooms will always be more expensive than balcony or interior staterooms, however, depending on the traveler it may be a worthy splurge for your next cruise vacation!

Conclusion

Or maybe you want to experience your vacation on another level – at the top of the ship – in The Haven by Norwegian, an exclusive enclave with our most luxurious, well-appointed and spacious accommodations. Our award-winning fleet offers a wide range of contemporary and comfortable accommodations designed for you, your family or even your group,” states Norwegian Cruise Line about their onboard accommodations for guests staying in their suites.

While not every type or category of stateroom is available on every Norwegian Cruise Line ship, there are plenty of upscale cabin types available on every ship, that any guest is sure to enjoy.

Norwegian Cruise Line has a plethora of suite category staterooms for prospective passengers to choose from. These rooms offer an extra level of luxury, while giving guests exclusive amenities, and a place to relax and unwind while enjoying a wonderful vacation on the high seas!
