Your Norwegian loyalty status is about to get a lot more valuable

NCL-Sun-boarding

Starting October 15, Norwegian Cruise Line's new loyalty status match program will let members of NCL, Regent, and Oceania's programs enjoy reciprocal status — regardless of which brand they sail with.

With more than 30 ships sailing to hundreds of destinations across the globe, shared loyalty status means that you can enjoy the perks and privileges equivalent to your tier status, no matter where your travels take you.

"We want our guests to feel rewarded whenever they choose to sail within our family of award-winning cruise brands," Norwegian Cruise Line Holding's President and C.E.O., Harry Sommer, said.

"With the new Loyalty Status Honoring Program, our guests can experience more of what makes each brand special, while still enjoying the loyalty recognition they’ve worked hard to achieve."

Whether you're an Ambassador member within NCL's Latitudes program or have sailed over 1,000 nights with Regent, you'll enjoy the same recognition across all three brands.

Status Recognition and Tier Matching

Loyalty status and tiers remain equal across the board. As such, members of the Latitudes Rewards program, Seven Seas Society, and Oceania Club qualify for a one-for-one status match across all three brands after enrolling in each of the programs.

For example, if you have Diamond status within NCL's Latitudes program, you will automatically

You'll automatically become a Diamond member within Oceania and Regent Seven Seas' programs.

Status matching is not automatic. Guests must request to have their status matched at least 10 days before departure.

Requests can be made starting Sept. 29, 2025. However, the actual loyalty status match benefits will take effect for sailings departing on or after Oct. 15, 2025.

This differs from Royal Caribbean Group's status match program. RCG's program is more streamlined, with an automatic recognition of loyalty status between the three brands.

Still, Norwegian's status matching means that loyalty is valued equally across the company's three brands, making it easier to explore different lines and styles of cruising without sacrificing benefits.

When sailing on each sister brand within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, passengers can enjoy the onboard benefits offered for their tier status within the line's respective loyalty program

Guests holding the highest status within each program can match into the corresponding tier across all three brands within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings: Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas, and Oceania Cruises.

For example, Ambassador members can now hold Commodore status within Regent's loyalty program — and vice versa.

That said, guests shouldn't expect equal benefits. Rather than unlimited Wi-Fi on Regent Seven Seas, Ambassador cruisers will only receive a 25% discount on internet packages.

Moreover, whereas Oceania offers $1,250 in onboard credit for its top-tier sailors, NCL does not offer its Ambassador members any free money.

Though cruisers won't get equal benefits, the higher their status, the more perks they will receive when cruising on sister brands within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

Finally, the Loyalty Status Honoring Program does not apply to status held with other cruise lines, such as MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean, or Carnival Cruise Line.

No single loyalty program for now

The new status match program for all three wholly owned Norwegian brands is not a single combined loyalty program.

Instead, each brand will continue to operate its own independent loyalty program, with its own perks, tier structures, and earning criteria.

Through the brand-new Loyalty Status Honoring Program, once you’ve submitted a match request for your upcoming sailing, your tier level will be mirrored across the respective brand.

However, points or nights accrued on one brand (i.e., Norwegian Cruise Line) will not transfer or combine with another within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

While this isn't a fully unified loyalty program (like Marriott Bonvoy, for example), it allows greater flexibility and cohesion across Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' portfolio.
