Carnival Cruise Line is ending one of its cruises early to avoid the developing Nor'easter that's expected to slam the East Coast over the weekend.

Passengers on the current sailing aboard Carnival Sunshine were informed on Wednesday that their voyage will be cut short by one day due to the worsening weather forecast.

The Sunshine Class ship was supposed to call at Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos on Thursday, January 29. However, the final port visit of the 8-night Eastern Caribbean cruise was canceled at the last minute. Now, the vessel is expected to arrive in Virginia around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31.

To meet this growing demand, cruise lines have expanded their non-alcoholic offerings beyond sodas and juices. Carnival Cruise Line also added a new drink package designed for guests who don't drink.

What is the front of a ship called?

Cruise Bow

Let's get one thing straight: boats and ships aren't the same thing. Still, many of the technical terms used in maritime navigation apply to both.

For example, the back of a vessel is called the stern, and instead of left or right, the sides are referred to as port (left) and starboard (right).

Moving on, when talking about the different parts of a ship, the front is known as the bow.
