Carnival has adjusted itineraries on four ships departing in 2025, 2026, and 2027.
It's not uncommon for cruise lines to tweak itineraries. Sometimes, the changes are minor, such as adjusting the hours in port. Other times, however, they could completely swap a port of call. It can be frustrating, especially if you booked a specific cruise for one port.
This week, Carnival Cruise Line contacted passengers on four ships to alert them of changes to their itinerary. The adjustments impact 12 sail dates over the next two years, ranging from short Bahamas getaways to 12-night Southern Caribbean voyages from Manhattan.

Carnival Venezia, Sunrise, Horizon, and Mardi Gras are impacted. If your cruise was changed, you should have received an email from Carnival or your travel agent. However, you can contact the cruise line with any questions about your particular voyage.

One minor change to Mardi Gras' October 30, 2025, sailing

Carnival's original Excel Class ship, Mardi Gras, sails from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, to the Caribbean. The October 30, 2025, cruise is set to visit St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan, Amber Cove, and Celebration Key on a 9-night Eastern Caribbean cruise.
While no ports have been removed from the Halloween itinerary, Mardi Gras will depart Port Canaveral thirty minutes later than planned. This slight delay means Mardi Gras won't kiss the Florida coast goodbye until 4:30, but the ship is still expected to maintain a full and exciting itinerary for guests.
The previous sailing is a 14-night transatlantic cruise from Barcelona, Spain, so the delayed departure could be a buffer for longer customs.
Four changes to Carnival Venezia

Three of Carnival Venezia's itineraries in 2025 were changed, with a fourth in 2026. The first change is to the May 11, 2025, sailing.
Though the cruise will still follow its original one-way itinerary from Florida to New York, calling at Grand Turk; Aruba; Curaçao; and St. Thomas, Carnival Venezia will depart Port Canaveral, Florida, at 4:30pm, rather than 4:00pm. The same change was made to the May 17, 2026, sailing.
Additionally, the 11-night voyage in May 2025 has slightly adjusted port times in Grand Turk.

Next, Carnival Venezia's 12-night Southern Caribbean cruises on Oct. 6 and 18, 2025, will depart Manhattan at 5:00pm instead of 4:30pm.
Note the two cruises have different itineraries, with the Oct. 6 voyage calling at St. Thomas; St. Croix; St. Maarten; St. Kitts; and Tortola, while the Oct. 18 cruise is slated to visit St. Thomas; Dominica; Barbados; St. Lucia; and St. Maarten.
Six changes to itineraries onboard Carnival Sunrise

Carnival Sunrise experienced the greatest number of alterations, affecting six voyages in 2026 and 2027.
In most cases, the only adjustment is a change in the day the ship will visit Nassau. These revised sailings include the May 30, July 25, and Nov. 14, 2026, sailings, as well as the Feb. 6 and Mar. 6, 2027, cruises.
Additionally, the cruise departing on Sept. 14, 2026, had the itinerary reversed. Passengers will still visit Nassau and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, albeit in a different order. All voyages still depart from Miami, Florida.
Carnival Horizon swapped days in port for Cozumel and Ocho Rios

The last ship to have changes made to an existing itinerary was Carnival Horizon, a Vista Class ship that sails from Miami, Florida.
No ports of call were removed from the Nov. 16, 2025, cruise; however, the days in Cozumel and Ocho Rios were swapped. Moreover, the time in port has been modified.
