Disney Cruise Line Releases New Protocols for UK Sailings

This summer, Disney Cruise Line will resume sailing with a series of cruises from select UK homeports aboard Disney Magic; as expected, the line has put a slew of new requirements in place for passengers.

Although the line has suspended North American sailings through at least the end of June and Americans aren't currently allowed on the UK sailings, DCL's health and safety protocols are worth noting, as they could eventually be extended to ships departing from U.S. ports.

Carnival Cruise VIFP Status loyalty program (2025)

If you're looking to make the most out of your cruise vacations, it pays to be loyal to a single line. Over time, you will unlock some benefits meant to make your vacation more convenient and possibly save you some money!

While each cruise line has its own loyalty program they are all built differently. On Royal Caribbean, for instance, you are able to earn two points per night of the cruise if you're sailing in a suite. No matter what cabin you book onboard any Carnival ships, you will only receive one point per night.

Cruise Line Protocols Are Working; Is the CDC Listening?

Cruise ships haven't sailed from the United States for more than a year, but voyages have been operating successfully around the world for months, prompting cruise lines and vacationers alike to question whether the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is actually paying attention.

At Seatrade, the cruise industry's annual convention, which is being held virtually this month, several cruise line executives shared their thoughts about the CDC, as well as success stories from brands that have been cruising in Asia and Europe since last summer.
