MSC Cruises launches MSC Bellissima

MSC Cruises took delivery of MSC Bellissima from Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard.

MSC Bellissima’s Delivery Ceremony took place in the presence of Gianluigi Aponte, MSC Group’s Founder and Executive Chairman. Also present were Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman, MSC Cruises, Laurent Castaing, General Manager, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, as well as other regional and local authorities and dignitaries. 

Norwegian Cruise Line makes app available on all of its ships

Guests on Norwegian Cruise Line can now use the cruise line's app on any of the 16 ships in the fleet.

The NCL app offers pre-cruise features including planning and ship itineraries. Guests can make pre-bookings for dining, shore excursions, entertainment, and onboard activities. It also features a “pre-cruise” mode so guests can start planning their trip before they’ve even stepped on board.

Azamara closes out Australia cruise season

Azamara Club Cruises bid farewell to Australia as the 690-guest Azamara Quest wrapped up her season in Australia.

The ship arrived in Sydney Harbour today, which marked the end of Azamara’s fourth and longest season down under, as well as Quest’s last visit for some years, as Azamara Journey and Pursuit will be deployed down under for the following two summer cruise seasons.

Navigator of the Seas arrived in Miami today with a brand new look, after getting a bow to stern upgrade with a ton of new features.

The transformed 3,386-guest ship features a slew of additions, such as the The Blaster, the longest aqua coaster at sea; Riptide, the industry’s only head-first mat racer waterslide; a reimagined poolscape infused with Caribbean vibes; To Dry For, the first standalone blow-dry bar at sea; and elevated dining and nightlife.

Couple claims their cruise ship left them in Mexico following medical issue

A New Jersey couple sailing on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas say the cruise ship forced them to stay in Mexico when one of them got sick with a bleeding stomach ulcer.

The ship's medical staff were unable to treat her, so they opted to transfer her to a hospital.

The couple spent more than $3,400 getting home after riding in the back of a cab during a five-hour trip through the country trying to catch a plane to get back home.

Norwegian Cruise Line revamps drink package offerings

Norwegian Cruise Line announced a new name for its popular drink package, along with the addition of a new drink package for guests who enjoy the best kind of liquor.

The Ultimate Beverage Package has been renamed to the Premium Beverage Package, and a new Premium-Plus Package has been added.  The Premium Beverage Package will continue to be offered as a free perk, while the Premium-Plus Package will not.
