Royal Caribbean will use phone app to power new cruise ship health protocols

When Royal Caribbean's cruise ships start sailing again, guests sailing will rely more than ever on the cruise line app.

Grandeur of the Seas will stay in Royal Caribbean's fleet

Royal Caribbean announced that Grandeur of the Seas will remain in its fleet instead of being transferred to Pullmantur Cruises.

The cruise line confirmed that previous plans to transfer Grandeur out of the fleet in Spring 2021 have been cancelled, and instead, she will still be sailing with Royal Caribbean.

Now your kids can play the video game from Royal Caribbean's kids club at home

Royal Caribbean has released a copy of its video game it designed for the kids club on its cruise ships, for use at home by children and their parents.

Called, "The Treasure of Barnacle Briggs®", the game was first offered on Royal Caribbean cruise ships that had been recently upgraded, including Oasis of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean and developer Firstborn took three weeks to adapt the onboard experience to a game you can download on your iPhone or iPad.

Royal Caribbean cancels cruises through September 30

Royal Caribbean announced on Friday it had cancelled its cruises through September 30 in order to be in compliance with the new "No Sail" order by the CDC.

Less than a day after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control extended its "No Sail" Order, Royal Caribbean removed cruises that would have sailed between September 16 - September 30, 2020.

The cruise line sent an email to travel agents informing them and guests of the change.
