Virgin Voyages newest ship revealed to be Brilliant Lady

The cruise line Virgin Voyages has revealed the name of its newest vessel to be Brilliant Lady.

Brilliant Lady is currently being constructed in Italy by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. The fourth ship in Virgin Voyages’ fleet is scheduled to make its debut in 2023.

New Virgin Voyages ship finishes sea trials

Virgin Voyages’ newest ship to their fleet, the Resilient Lady, has successfully completed all of its sea trials.

Now that the Resilient Lady has undergone and completed all of its sea trials successfully, the ship has returned to Fincantieri’s Sestri shipyard in Genoa Italy. Having completed all of its necessary sea trials, Virgin Voyages’ newest ship is one step closer to its debut.

Virgin Voyages pushed back startup in U.S. yet again

There has been another delay in Virgin Voyages sailing from the United States.

Virgin has struggled to offer cruises because the line was scheduled to debut right at the beginning of the global health crisis.

The new cruise line announced on Wednesday that it has canceled all sailings from Miami scheduled for late September and early October on Scarlet Lady.

Virgin Voyages will require all passengers to have a Covid-19 vaccine

Over the last few weeks, a lot of people have been wondering whether or not vaccines are going to be required on cruise ships here in the U.S. and there's one cruise line that just recently said, yes.

Virgin Voyages has come out and announced that vaccines will be required to sail on their ships and they're aiming for a July 1st restart.

The CEO of Virgin Voyages, Tom McAlpin, was on Good Morning America and he stated that all of the Virgin Voyages passengers and crew members are to be vaccinated for covid-19.

Virgin Voyages cancels cruises though mid-October

Virgin Voyages announced today it is pushing back its debut until October 16, 2020.

The new cruise line was scheduled to begin in the spring, but opted to cancel all sailings through October 15, 2020.

Virgin is offering affected cruisers options to make rebooking easier. 

Passengers who booked travel on impacted Scarlet Lady sailings would be eligible for a 100 percent refund. To make up for the inconvenience, customers who cancel will also receive a 25 percent future cruise credit.

Virgin Voyages delays launch of its cruise line until August

Virgin Voyages announced it will delay its inaugural season until July 15, 2020, with the Scarlet Lady's maiden voyage pushed back to August 7, 2020.

Virgin Voyages had delayed its launch and associated media events, “in light of the current global headlines.” This sounds like a reference to the current Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

First Virgin Voyages cruise ship delivered by shipyard

The first cruise ship for Virgin Voyages, Scarlet Lady, was delivered by shipbuilder Fincantieri today at the shipyard in Genoa Sestri Ponente.

The ship recently completed its sea trials, and was delivered to the cruise line.

Scarlet Lady is the first of four ships ordered by Virgin Voyages.

Scarlet Lady is scheduled to set sail on her inaugural maiden voyage on April 1.

Virgin Voyages announces Deck DJ Schedule

Virgin Voyages announced the lineup for its On Deck DJ sailings.

The 2020 Resident On Deck DJ program will feature decorated musicians Mark Ronson (July 9), Diplo (May 7), DJ MK (September 3) and Sofi Tukker (December 10).

Guests on Virgin Voyages will be able to enjoy performances at the Beach Club at Bimini, with the 2020 lineup of world-famous DJs set to perform as part of the specialty sailings, which are now available for booking.

Tickets for the specialty sailings and concerts in the Bahamas are now on sale.

Virgin Voyages will let you order champagne by shaking your phone

Virgin Voyages cruise line announced a new on-demand champagne delivery service, Shake for Champagne, which will allow passengers on its cruise ship to request champagne with a shake of their phone.

When the Virgin Voyages Sailor App is shaken, a secret Virgin Voyages Champagne button is revealed and, with just one press, a bottle of Möet & Chandon Impérial will be delivered to the guest.

Delivered in a red champagne bucket, the service includes a 750ml bottle of Möet & Chandon Impérial with two glasses.
