Carnival Cruise Line Changes Itineraries for Eight Ships

Carnival-Celebration-Docked

Carnival has adjusted itineraries on eight ships departing in 2025 and 2026.

Cruise lines have the right to tweak your itinerary, sometimes years ahead of sailing. Sometimes, they'll swap ports or simply adjust the hours in port. Either way, it can be frustrating, especially since cruise lines don't legally have to provide compensation, as per the cruise contract

This week, Carnival has begun contacting passengers on numerous ships to alert them of itinerary changes. The adjustments impact eight vessels and over 15 itineraries, ranging from a 4-night cruise sailing from Port Canaveral to a weeklong cruise on their largest ship in the fleet

Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Celebration, Carnival Elation, Carnival Magic, Carnival Pride, Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Glory, and Carnival Conquest are all impacted.

One minor change to Carnival Jubilee's February 14, 2026 sailing

Carnival Jubilee

Carnival's newest and largest ship, Carnival Jubilee, sails exclusively to the Western Caribbean from Galveston, Texas.

The February 14, 2026 cruise is set to visit Mahogany Bay, Honduras; Costa Maya, Mexico; and Cozumel, Mexico

While no ports have been removed from the Valentine's Day cruise, the order in which they'll be visited has been reversed. Additionally, the port times for Cozumel and Mahogany Bay have been changed to account for the new itinerary.

Four changes to the second-newest ship in the fleet

Three of Carnival Celebration's itineraries in 2025 are being changed, with a fourth in 2026. The first change was to the January 5, 2025, sailing.

Though still visiting the same ports of call—Grand Turk; Amber Cove, Dominican Republic; and Nassau, Bahamas—the order has been changed. The same changes were made to the June 29, 2025, sailing, with both now having an identical itinerary.

Next, Carnival Celebration's 6-night Eastern Caribbean cruise on May 11, 2025, will still call at Grand Turk, Amber Cove, and Nassau; however, the 183,521 gross registered ton vessel will visit Nassau and Grand Turk on different days.

Finally, Carnival adjusted the March 15, 2026, cruise, switching the days the Excel Class ship calls at Cozumel, Mexico, and Mahogany Bay, Honduras. The visit to Celebration Key, Carnival's new private destination in The Bahamas, remains unchanged.

Five changes to itineraries onboard Carnival Magic

Image

The only Dream Class ship to be impacted, Carnival Magic's February 16, 2025, departure was altered quite a bit. The 6-night Eastern Caribbean cruise will now visit Grand Turk and Amber Cove in the reverse order. Plus, the port times will be slightly different.

Carnival also swapped the original visit to Princess Cays with Half Moon Cay. Though both are private destinations owned by Carnival Corporation, Half Moon Cay is a private island, whereas Princess Cays is a privately owned section on the island of Eleuthera.

Four more Carnival Magic sailings were adjusted, three of which will be visiting Amber Cove instead of Half Moon Cay and on different dates than the original itinerary. These include the 8-night January 24, March 21, and December 27, 2025, departures.

Last but not least, Carnival Magic's February 21, 2026, cruise will no longer visit Half Moon Cay. Instead, the 128,000 gross registered ton ship will call at Princess Cays. The stop will be on the same day as the originally scheduled visit to Half Moon Cay.

Carnival Glory swaps Bimini for Nassau

Four of Carnival Glory's Bahamian cruises out of Port Canaveral in 2026 have been adjusted. First is the 4-night sailing on January 12, 2026. Though the cruise will still call at Celebration Key, it'll no longer visit Bimini, replacing the original port with Nassau on a different day.

Three more 4-night cruises—February 2, 2026; February 9, 2026; and April 27, 2026—will also be swapping out Bimini for Nassau; however, the later sailings only change the port of call itself, not the date of the visit.

Carnival Conquest saw six changes

The namesake ship of Carnival's Conquest Class—Carnival Conquest—saw a date change for the three 4-night cruises. The sailings will still visit both Half Moon Cay and Nassau; however, the date for when they'll visit Nassau has been adjusted.

Additionally, the 5-night Western Caribbean cruise departing October 1, 2025, had the itinerary reversed. Passengers will still visit Celebration Key and George Town, Grand Cayman, albeit in a different order.

Finally, Carnival Conquest will swap out a visit to Half Moon Cay with a stop at Princess Cays on its 4-night Bahamas cruise departing on January 5, 2026.

Carnival Pride replaced a few private destinations

Carnival Pride Life Buoy

Carnival Pride is the only ship in Carnival's fleet to operate year-round from Baltimore, Maryland. The 88,500 gross registered ton vessel accommodates up to 2,680 passengers on sailings to The Bahamas, Caribbean, Bermuda, the Panama Canal, and more.

Three Carnival Pride sailings were impacted in 2026, with the earliest being the January 4, 2026 departure. Rather than visiting Princess Cays, the guests will call at Half Moon Cay

Next, passengers on the February 1, 2026, cruise will head to Princess Cays instead of Half Moon Cay. Similarly, Carnival Pride will replace Princess Cays with Half Moon Cay on the February 8, 2026, cruise. Additionally, the date of the planned visit to Nassau was changed.

Carnival Elation replaced ports on three sailings

Elation-Docked-Nassau

As of 2024, Carnival Elation is the only ship homeported out of Jacksonville, Florida. The Fantasy Class ship typically sails on short cruises to The Bahamas; however, Carnival Elation occasionally offers weeklong voyages to the Caribbean.

In 2025 and 2026, three changes were made to existing cruises, swapping out the private island on the itinerary.

Both the 5-night cruise on February 8, 2025, and the 6-night sailing on November 24, 2025, will no longer call at Half Moon Cay, replacing the visit with a stop at Princess Cays. No changes were made to the scheduled visit to Celebration Key.

And now, the March 21, 2026, voyage—a 5-night cruise from Jacksonville—will call at Celebration Key, rather than Princess Cays. As such, the time in port has been adjusted.

One minor change to a cruise on Carnival Sunshine

Carnival Sunshine

The last ship to have changes made to existing itineraries was Carnival Sunshine, the oldest ship in Carnival's fleet.

Sailing from Norfolk, Virginia, in 2025 and 2026, the namesake ship of the Sunshine Class will offer 5-, 6-, and 8-night cruises to The Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda.

One port was swapped on the 8-night March 21, 2026 sailing, replacing Half Moon Cay with the originally scheduled stop in Princess Cays.
