Although Royal Caribbean's cruise fare is more inclusive than standard hotel rooms, there are a few add-ons that cost extra. Cruise WiFi, unfortunately, is rarely included and can be surprisingly expensive.
When budgeting for your Royal Caribbean cruise, you must account for these add-ons. While specialty dining and drink packages may not be important to you, WiFi is often considered a must-have. Without it, it is impossible to stay connected with friends and family back home while on the ship.
That said, you can use Royal Caribbean's mobile app without WiFi, which is helpful when making dining reservations, checking showtimes, and planning your daily schedule.
In this article, we'll break down everything you need to know about the Royal Caribbean internet package ahead of your next cruise vacation — from the cost to money-saving tips, where you can use it, and more!
Does Royal Caribbean have free WiFi?
Royal Caribbean's base cruise fare does not include WiFi. However, some loyalty members and suite guests may receive free internet during their cruise.
For instance, Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club members receive at least one day of complimentary WiFi through their Crown & Anchor Society benefits, though the exact duration depends on loyalty level.
- Diamond: One day of WiFi for one device (or the price equivalent of any onboard internet purchase)
- Diamond Plus: Two days of WiFi for one device (or the price equivalent of any onboard internet purchase)
- Pinnacle Club: Unlimited WiFi for one device for the length of the sailing
Additionally, guests booked in Royal Caribbean’s top-tier suites receive complimentary WiFi included as part of their cruise benefits. These include Sky and Star Suites within Royal Caribbean's Royal Suite Class. Only one device per person for each guest booked in the suite is included.
Note that internet is only included for Sky Junior Suites aboard Icon, Star, Spectrum, and Utopia of the Seas until April 30, 2026. Moreover, it's not included for Sky Junior Suites on Allure, Anthem, Harmony, Oasis, Odyssey, Ovation, Quantum, Symphony, and Wonder of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean WiFi cost
Naturally, you might be wondering what different Royal Caribbean WiFi packages are available to guests. Unlike other cruise lines, Royal Caribbean offers just one package — VOOM Surf + Stream — which provides some of the fastest connection speeds at sea thanks to Starlink.
It's suitable for everything from basic web browsing to messaging, scrolling social media, video calling, and streaming music and videos.
The cost, like other add-ons, depends on your sailing. For example, I have three upcoming Royal Caribbean cruises booked aboard Harmony of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, and Utopia of the Seas, and the onboard price ranges from $28.99 to $38.70 per day.
The onboard WiFi prices on Star of the Seas' sailing the week of February 15, 2026, were as follows:
- 1 device: $230.93 ($32.99 per day)
- 2 devices: $405.86 ($28.99 per day)
- 3 devices: $580.79 ($27.65 per day)
- 4 devices: $755.72 ($26.99 per day)
- 24-hour pass: $34.99 per day

How to save money on the cruise WiFi price
Purchasing your Royal Caribbean WiFi package before your vacation can help you save a few dollars per day. As such, it is a smart option for guests who know they're going to want to stay connected throughout their cruise.
For instance, although the onboard price for the VOOM Surf + Stream package on Harmony of the Seas comes in at a whopping $38.70 per day, an ongoing Cruise Planner sale has it marked down to $29.02 per day.
When purchasing WiFi through the online planning portal, you can also bundle multiple devices under one person's plan. While you’ll pay a higher total price upfront, the per-device rate is lower than if you were to buy an individual package for every person in your party.

So, for example, let's say that you want four VOOM Surf + Stream packages for your upcoming cruise on Utopia of the Seas. If you purchase four single-device plans, you’ll pay the advertised per-day rate for each package. In this scenario, it comes to $23.99 per day.
However, if you select a four-device bundle under one guest’s name, the total comes to $173.97, which breaks down to around $14.50 per device per day for a 3-night sailing.
Another simple way to save money on your cruise WiFi is to purchase one plan and rotate usage. Royal Caribbean allows you to log in and out as you like, so it's easy to swap devices throughout the sailing.
Does Cococay have WiFi?
Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's private island in The Bahamas. It's a popular stop on many Bahamian and Caribbean itineraries. In fact, the cruise line's newest Oasis and Icon Class ships stop at CocoCay on nearly every voyage!
Thankfully, you can rest assured knowing that if you purchase a VOOM Surf + Stream package for your sailing, it will also work ashore at CocoCay for no extra cost.
