Carnival Cruise Line announces return to New York City homeport

Carnival Cruise Line has officially returned to New York, meaning that the cruise line has retuned to service in all 14 of their U.S. home ports.

Holland America Line and Princess Cruises bring back face mask requirement on Alaska cruises

Holland America Line and Princess cruises will be requiring guests onboard their ships to wear face masks during sailings to Alaska.

“Out of an abundance of caution due to the rise in positive COVID-19 cases throughout Alaska, all guests will be required to wear face masks at all times while onboard, except when eating or drinking or in their own staterooms,” stated Holland America Line about the recent change.

United States ending COVID testing requirements to enter and what that means for cruising

Starting June 12th the United States will no longer require passengers traveling to the U.S.A via airplanes to provide negative results from a COVID-19 viral test.

Currently the White House is set to announce today, Friday June 10th, that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will stop requiring test results for visitors, or returning travelers, coming into the United States, starting Sunday, June 12.

Virgin Voyages newest ship Resilient Lady delayed

Virgin Voyages announced today, June 8th, that their newest ship, the Resilient Lady will have a delayed launch.

Virgin Voyages notified impacted guests via email, saying that the reasoning behind delaying the launch of their newest ship was due to supply chain issues, staff shortages, and regional challenges. Virgin Voyages said that these challenges, “meant we couldn’t guarantee the epic vacation you deserve,” adding “we don’t want to fall short with your valuable time off, so while this decision was difficult, it was necessary.”

MSC Cruises entire fleet returns to service

After more than two years, MSC Cruises’ entire fleet of 19 ships is back in service. The final ship to return to active service was MSC Musica, which welcomed passengers aboard in its homeport of Monfalcone, Italy on June 5th.

From Italy, MSC Musica set sail on its first of 23 sailings that it has scheduled for the summer season. The ship is currently scheduled to sail on 7-night itineraries which will take place mostly within the Eastern Mediterranean and Greece.

Royal Caribbean ships sailing from Singapore to Malaysia end of June

Royal Caribbean Cruises ships will be returning to Singapore and Malaysia beginning the end of this month. Ships will be making stops in destination ports such as Penang and Port Klang.

Royal Caribbean Cruises stated today (June 2) that it will begin offering three- and four-night sailings in the region at the end of June. These itineraries will be aboard Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas ship.
