Work has begun on the fourth cruise ship in Celebrity Cruise's Edge Class.

The ceremonial first cut of steel of Celebrity Ascent was held today, which will make its debut in early 2023. 

Steel cutting is important because it marks the official start of construction of a new cruise ship.

Azamara Cruises, a small, luxury cruise line based out of Miami, Florida, announced today a world cruise that is being touted as “All 7 Wonders of the World and more”.  Focusing on an immersive experience aboard its ship the Azamara Onward, the global voyage with its wide-ranging itinerary and cultural highlights will provide guests with an unparalleled journey.

One cruise line is looking to incentivize passengers to save on laundry services by giving them extra loyalty points if they reduce the amount of housekeeping services onboard.

Celebrity Cruises is offering guests the option to receive reduced housekeeping services while onboard in exchange for points in the Captain’s Club.

Celebrity calls it the Go Green program, where guests can opt-in to this program will receive an extra night’s worth of Club Points based on their stateroom category.

For first-time cruisers, choosing the perfect cruise line can be overwhelming. From modern lines to luxury ships, no cruise line is identical to one another. This can make it difficult to know which cruise line is the right for you and your travel group.

I just spent five night onboard Holland America’s Rotterdam, the line’s newest ship, and I wanted to share a few takeaways from my cruise.

Carnival unveiled its plan on when all of its ships will be able to restart operations.

Carnival Cruise Line announced on Thursday the schedule for when its entire U.S. fleet will be back in operations.

The new target date is for all 22 of its U.S.-based ships to return to service by March 2022.

Private cabanas can elevate a normal beach day to a memorable VIP experience. However, they aren't cheap. 

Thanks to Holland America, I got to spend a day at one of the rental villas on Half Moon Cay, the line’s private island in the Bahamas, and live the rock-star beach life for a few hours.

Was it worth the $1,000?

People often worry about what to pack for a cruise, but of course, some items aren't allowed onboard, such as firearms and illegal drugs.

But passengers may be shocked to learn that some everyday household necessities, such as fans and humidifiers, probably won’t make it past the ship’s scanners.

And then there are others, that make us wonder if someone actually tried to bring these on a cruise and why?

Anyone who’s been to Half Moon Cay knows it’s a perfect beach day. On this itinerary, we have a rare two-day stop at the Carnival Corporation private island shared by Holland America and Carnival Cruise Line. That means I have the opportunity to try out a few new activities since I have extra time.
