MSC Cruises new ships on order

MSC Cruises continues to pursue an intensive growth strategy, welcoming several new ships over the next couple of years.

From mega-ships with 6,000+ guests to those with under 500 cabins, MSC Cruises is catering to the newest and most innovative ships keeping all guests in mind.

Here is what is exciting and new with MSC's upcoming additions to the fleet.

MSC Meraviglia class ships

MSC Cruises has made a significant investment in ship construction in the last 20 years resulting in the diverse fleet they have today.

A significant part of MSC’s ambitious growth strategy has been the Meraviglia class of ships. There are currently four of them sailing, with one more due next summer. This class of ships has allowed MSC to add significant capacity to the fleet, taking customers all over the world.

MSC Voyagers Club - What you need to know about MSC’s loyalty program

Similar to other cruise lines, MSC Cruises has a robust loyalty program for its customers. Known as MSC Voyagers Club, the program has four main tiers in addition to its Welcome level. It provides cruisers with a number of benefits, especially for those who reach the higher-level tiers such as Gold and Diamond.

What’s included on an MSC Cruise?

Cruising has become less of an all-inclusive vacation over the years, with cruise companies selling lots of add-ons to increase onboard spending.

So what is included in the basic cruise fare with MSC Cruises? For the most part, it is similar to other cruise lines. A stateroom, food, entertainment, activities and sports, are among the major inclusions. Their modern ships do offer lots for those cruisers who don’t want to spend a lot on extras but still have a good vacation.

What is the biggest MSC Cruise ship?

Cruise lines continue their pursuit of bigger and better ships, and MSC Cruises is no exception. They have embarked on an ambitious ship construction plan to support their leadership position and growth goals in markets worldwide.

Later this year, MSC will launch the first ship in its World Class series, debuting the MSC World Europa, its largest ship to date, and its first powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

The ship will commence with sailings in the Gulf region, followed by cruises in the Mediterranean in 2023.

Who owns MSC Cruises?

MSC Cruises has grown to become one of the most popular cruise brands globally, competing against giants like Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival.

The story of MSC began with an Italian family and one ship. Today, that same family plays a critical role in the leadership of the largest privately owned cruise line and transportation group worldwide.

Although it has become a successful multinational business, it is still a family run business at heart. “We are a family company” is first among its core values, which define its culture and how they operate.
