MSC Cruises entire fleet returns to service

After more than two years, MSC Cruises’ entire fleet of 19 ships is back in service. The final ship to return to active service was MSC Musica, which welcomed passengers aboard in its homeport of Monfalcone, Italy on June 5th.

From Italy, MSC Musica set sail on its first of 23 sailings that it has scheduled for the summer season. The ship is currently scheduled to sail on 7-night itineraries which will take place mostly within the Eastern Mediterranean and Greece.

Royal Caribbean ships sailing from Singapore to Malaysia end of June

Royal Caribbean Cruises ships will be returning to Singapore and Malaysia beginning the end of this month. Ships will be making stops in destination ports such as Penang and Port Klang.

Royal Caribbean Cruises stated today (June 2) that it will begin offering three- and four-night sailings in the region at the end of June. These itineraries will be aboard Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas ship.

Princess Margriet of the Netherlands attends Holland America Line’s naming ceremony for newest ship

Holland America Line’s newest ship, Rotterdam, had its official naming ceremony on May 30, 2022. The ceremony took place in the city for which the ship is named, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Attending the ceremony was her royal highness, Princess Margriet of The Netherlands. Princess Margriet will serve as the ship’s godmother, and participated in the naming ceremony.

Royal Caribbean ship Harmony of the Seas collides with dock in Jamaica

Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas departed from Port Canaveral on Sunday, May 22, for a voyage in the Bahamas, before then setting sail for Jamaica.

During the ships arrival in Falmouth, Jamaica, Thursday morning, Harmony of the Seas made contact with the dock. No injuries amongst passengers or crew have been reported, and the ship received only minor damage to the stern. The ship is said to have collided with a small concrete mooring pylon. The collision has caused minor dents and paint scrapes to the ship.

Celebrity Cruises announces new hand-picked shore excursions in Greece

This week Celebrity Cruises announced its newly curated list of shore excursions designed specifically by its ships’ Captains.

These exclusive shore excursions will take place in Greece, and amongst the Greek Isles. These new excursions will additionally be available on any Celebrity ship that is sailing on a Greek Isles itinerary, during the summer of 2022.
